I hope y’all are enjoying this summer. I apologize for my absence … again! It’s been an adventurous summer filled with work, photo shoots, and travel. I have so much content waiting for me to prepare and share. I just need to find some time to work on them and I will find the time. Though, I have a feeling these summer posts may linger into fall. 😉 (more…)
Sometimes chance encounters are fated to spark spontaneous adventures. While photo shooting at a recreated Union encampment at the Dr. Samuel A. Mudd House Museum in Southern, Maryland, an unassuming man rode towards us in his ATV. Dad, my photographer, worried he would kick us off the set. (more…)
It’s been a long while…I know! I apologize for my absence from the blog last month. May was unusually busy for me. I was in South Carolina the beginning of the month for my niece, Kristin’s, First Holy Communion. I had a one week reprieve before heading up to New York City for my sister, Jeanette’s, graduate school graduation from Columbia University. My little sister is an Ivy Leaguer. 🙂 I had another short reprieve before I was on the road again for a few days of rest and relaxation in Virginia Beach. And before I knew it, May was gone. (more…)
August was full of adventure for me! I was in Savannah, GA earlier in the month and had a wonderful time. I will detail that trip in a future blog post. I also spent time with my two Godsons and niece in SC mid-August. We had an 80s themed party which I will also share in a future blog post. By the end of August, we were back to photo shooting for the blog. I cannot wait to feature that post because it deals with the legend of Moll Dyer, a local woman who lived a century or so ago and was rumored to be a witch. Perfect post for October! 😉 (more…)
Happy Fourth of July! Today we celebrate America’s birthday. It was 242 years ago today that the original 13 colonies adopted the Declaration of Independence. Today, it is a day for family and friends to come together and celebrate our nation’s birthday with barbecues, parades, concerts, fireworks, and the like. My family and I will certainly be participating in the festivities. 🙂 (more…)
Can you tell I’m on a cage heels kick? 😉 These Vince Camuto Paxton sandals are from last Summer. They are part of a surplus of blog pics that have yet to be published. I’m so happy to finally feature them this week before we say good-bye to Summer. (more…)
Blue is my favorite color; so imagine my delight when I came across this lovely pair from White House Black Market. The vivid blue caught my eye and the tassel ties add a flirty touch making these sandals the perfect accessory for summertime fun. (more…)
One of the earliest lessons my father taught me was to always honor your commitments. Integrity is one of my dad’s greatest virtues and it guides him in all aspects of his life. With my dad, if he’s committed to doing something, he ALWAYS follows through. He is simply a man of his word. (more…)
I have to admit, I’ve lived in Southern Maryland for many years now and this was my first time in Solomons Island. It is a quaint town on the Patuxent River/Chesapeake Bay. Very picturesque. It is a perfect destination for a weekend getaway and/or a photo shoot. 🙂 (more…)
Charleston, SC is a city I enjoy visiting because of its Civil War past. So, it was only natural for my Forever BFF, Tammy, and I to take a day trip there. We left Savannah early Sunday morning. When we were about 20 miles into South Carolina, traffic came to a crawl on Interstate 95 North. Tammy exclaimed: “Look!” and we saw an exit ramp flooded with a submerged car!
