Lizzy’s Latest – Marc Fisher Truthe Suede Lace-Up Pumps

Lately, it seems every weekend I plan to take pictures, the weather turns cold.  The weekend of this photo shoot was no exception.  The temperature stayed in the 30s and the wind was gusty for the majority of the shoot.  However, with St. Patrick’s Day in March, I was determined to share this cute asymmetrical green skirt.  🙂 (more…)

A few weeks ago, Feedspot, an online RSS feed reader, compiled a list of the Top 75 Shoe Websites and Blogs on the Web based on their index using search and social metrics.  To my surprise and delight, Lizzy’s Latest made this list!  My little blog came in at number 51 with plenty of room to grow! 🙂 (more…)

The Gettysburg National Military Park is one of my favorite Civil War battlefields to explore.  It was in this area that the Battle of Gettysburg was fought over a 3-day period in July of 1863.  For this photo shoot, we headed to the Pennsylvania State Memorial located at Cemetery Ridge, the primary defensive position of the Union Army. About one year ago, I published a post called “Confessions of a New Blogger.”  In it, I described my journey as a first time blogger and the realization that maintaining a weekly blog would be unsustainable given my other passions and desire to spend time with family and friends. (more…)

Now that I have a deep appreciation for history, I feel so fortunate to be surrounded by it.  Historic St. Mary’s City in St. Mary’s County, Maryland was the site for this latest photo shoot.  (more…)

My Forever BFF, Tammy, can be quite humorous.  From the moment I picked her up at the airport, we were in stitches.  She was telling me about her flight and her long delay at the Houston, TX airport.  There, she was speaking with an individual to pass time.  This guy asked her where she was headed and she said with cautious confidence, “Charlotte, South Carolina!”  However, from the look on the man’s face, she knew she said something incorrect.  So, she reacted with, “I think.”  The guy snickered and Tammy added, “North Carolina?  South Carolina?  I don’t know!  I just know it’s one of the Carolinas!” 🙂 (more…)

I initially went with red heels to match the denim dress I wore in this photo shoot.  Coordinating red heels with blue attire is a common tendency of mine.  I like having that pop of red.  🙂  Then, I opened my first delivery of Spring/Summer shoes a few weekends ago and set my eyes on the Marc Fisher Braelin sandals.  The pink is even prettier in person!  I could imagine wearing these sandals on a date.  🙂  They are so feminine.  The braided details are eye-catching and add a nice texture to this shoe.

The weather was spectacular this weekend.  It was the perfect weekend for taking blog pictures and indulging in a history adventure with my dad.  We decided to check out the George Washington Birthplace National Monument.  Perched on the banks of the Potomac River and Pope’s Creek, the locale was perfect for a photo shoot. Lizzy’s Latest – Marc Fisher Tailynn Ankle Booties

WED 1 IMG_8018 Final

I purchased these booties during the height of my enthusiasm for burgundy/wine colored heels.  I knew they would look perfect with this plaid skirt I paired them with.  I was going for a school-girl vibe with this photo shoot.  I even brought along some graduate school books that matched my outfit.  Thank you, Managerial Economics.  😉

The boots are super comfortable with a nice footbed and a heel height of approximately 3 inches.  I had to walk through some gravel as we navigated our way through an elementary school and a high school.  I swung on swings at the elementary school and even attempted to climb on the monkey bars. The kid in me was smiling!

The boot is an almond toe with a side zip closure.  It has a suede upper and comes in black, dark blue, and dark red (my purchase).  I really love the side buckle because it adds a charming detail to the booties.  These boots are still available at Macy’s in all the colors I mention above, at least at the time of this post.  A quick internet search for “Marc Fisher Tailynn booties” will bring up other options as well.

I highly recommend adding these booties to your Fall collection.  I’ve gotten several compliments from co-workers, friends, and even strangers.  I love the skinny heels and the wine color is so sexy and in the moment!  Pair them with mini-skirts, leggings, and jeans.  They will definitely amp up your look and get you noticed.

Style with a smile!

September through December is my favorite time of year.  The oppressive heat of Summer dissipates into the more comfortable temperatures of Fall.  Leaves begin to change colors putting on a spectacular show before dancing their final act through the air in a random spiral to the ground.  Halloween comes and goes and before I know it, Thanksgiving and Christmas are around the corner.
