Every Christmas I volunteer at the former Museum of the Confederacy (now the American Civil War Museum) for Court End Christmas. I’ve had the honor of being Santa’s Elf every year and it’s always great catching up with my favorite Santa – the real Santa! 😉
This Christmas was especially meaningful to me. I was enjoying the company of family and creating precious memories, but also grieving my dear friend and Manager, Anna, who was tragically killed in a tour bus crash in Mexico days before Christmas along with her 11-year old son, Daniel, and her recently widowed mother. Anna’s husband, Moises, and 15-year old son, David, survived, thankfully.
These shots were taken the same day as my torturedSoles shoot. We finished taking pictures early for that fabulous collaboration and decided to take advantage of the beautiful Fall weather by fitting in another heel/outfit combo. I chose the BCBGeneration Elle booties because they are so perfect for Fall! The burgundy hue is on trend and the peep toes make it a great transition bootie for cooler weather.
I always get nervous when I have to drive to unfamiliar places. Fortunately, it’s not as intimidating anymore with a GPS navigator and apps like Waze to direct me. I used both to guide me to my Aunt Lisa, Uncle Shawn, and cousin, Caroline’s house back in July.
I recently returned from my annual girls trip with my Forever BFF, Tammy. Adventure led us to New Orleans, LA this year. It was a great time and I thoroughly enjoyed catching up with Tammy. I will share the details of this trip in a future blog post, of course. 😉

Fall has arrived! I’m so excited for this time of year! It is my favorite season. Although, Summer’s embrace still lingers, hints of Fall are making their debut gradually.
