Back in late April, I received a collaboration request from Holysouq, an online family owned business in Jerusalem specializing in handcrafted leather products such as handbags, leather accessories, and souvenirs. Camel, their shoe division, specializes in a variety of summer flat sandals for women and men. Their sandals are handmade by an expert team of crafters using only green materials in their production process. (more…)
A few months ago, a representative from Grace Karin contacted me about a fashion collaboration. Intrigued, I did a quick search on the company and was pleasantly surprised to see beautiful dresses on their site. What was even more surprising was how inexpensive the dresses were. This, of course, made me question the quality of the dresses. However, my curiosity won over and I agreed to the fashion collaboration. (more…)
Edgar Allan Poe remained true to his art. He had so many opportunities to lead a life of practicality, but he always found ways to flee complacency. For Poe’s passion was writing and he was determined to earn a living wage through his fictions. Ever since I commenced this blog in 2015, I feel like I am constantly chasing time. Last month, my intent was to post a main blog post with part 2 of my New Orleans adventure with my Forever BFF, Tammy, but as always, time was fleeting. Now, it’s October and I have “Ghostober” posts perfect for the month of Halloween. These posts can’t be delayed and as such, my main blog post shall linger into November. August was full of adventure for me! I was in Savannah, GA earlier in the month and had a wonderful time. I will detail that trip in a future blog post. I also spent time with my two Godsons and niece in SC mid-August. We had an 80s themed party which I will also share in a future blog post. By the end of August, we were back to photo shooting for the blog. I cannot wait to feature that post because it deals with the legend of Moll Dyer, a local woman who lived a century or so ago and was rumored to be a witch. Perfect post for October! 😉 (more…)
There’s a back story to these beautiful heels. I had been eyeing them on the Boston Proper website for almost a year, but hesitated to purchase them because I’d never purchased Pelle Moda shoes. Happy Fourth of July! Today we celebrate America’s birthday. It was 242 years ago today that the original 13 colonies adopted the Declaration of Independence. Today, it is a day for family and friends to come together and celebrate our nation’s birthday with barbecues, parades, concerts, fireworks, and the like. My family and I will certainly be participating in the festivities. 🙂 (more…)
