Lizzy’s Latest – Collaboration: Grace Karin

A few months ago, a representative from Grace Karin contacted me about a fashion collaboration.  Intrigued, I did a quick search on the company and was pleasantly surprised to see beautiful dresses on their site.  What was even more surprising was how inexpensive the dresses were.  This, of course, made me question the quality of the dresses.  However, my curiosity won over and I agreed to the fashion collaboration.

I was advised to select two dresses from their site.  That proved difficult because I liked so many!  And the selection was phenomenal.  Casual dresses, formal dresses, work dresses, and vintage dresses were just some of the categories I happily perused.  In the end, I chose a 50s retro dress and a gorgeous work dress that I will feature in a future blog post.  I chose two vastly different dresses to give y’all a sense of the variety Grace Karin offers to its customers.

As with some online purchases, particularly with unfamiliar retailers, I was a little worried about the sizing.  Despite, I followed the instructions and chose my size.  For this 50s retro dress, I am wearing a Small.

My dresses shipped from China and I received the package a little over a month later.  I was pretty excited to inspect the dresses.  For the discounted price they retailed for, less than $20, I was surprised at the quality!  The 50s vintage dress did not feel cheap at all!  And when I tried it on, it fit perfectly!  I was looking forward to the photo shoot.

We headed to Richmond and selected the Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens as the shoot location.  We came at the perfect time too.  The crowds were minimal and the blooms were spectacular.  You’ll see more of the blooms with the other dress.

For this dress, I wanted a 50s housewife look.  So, I paired the dress with classic Aldo red pumps.  As I sashayed around the gardens, I felt so girly/flirty in a sexy housewife kinda way.  You know the “Honey, dessert is ready” vibe.  With dessert being whatever you want it to be.  😉

And with a dress like this, twirling in it is a given!  I had so much fun twirling around the garden at the end of this shoot.  Can you tell I love being a girl?  🙂

I truly enjoyed this dress and I hope you like it too.  It’s still available, along with other print styles, at 40% off its normal price of $29.99.  With the code, PRINTDS, you’ll only pay $17.99.  Check out the dresses here

I highly recommend Grace Karin.  It was founded in 2008 and has a growing clientele who love quality dresses at inexpensive prices.  Simple and stylish is their guiding principle and it is what I love about this brand.  Hope you will check it out.

Style with a Smile!  🙂

PS:  I also took a couple shots in another pair of heels reminiscent of Bettie Paige platform heels.  These particular ones are Jessica Simpson and I featured them on the blog last year.  Check out the post here.

What do you think?  Which heels do you like better?
