Happy Easter, my lovelies!

Savannah, GA captures my heart over and over again. Its beauty captivates me while its soul always draws me back. The last time I was there was in the summer of 2019. I arrived the evening before my parents got there and I felt so happy to be back in my favorite Southern city. (more…)
I’ve had quite the adventure these last several weeks. With spring in full swing and the weather staying consistently nice, the shopping bug hit me! I’ve been sooooooo good since Christmas and I gave up shopping for Lent. So, I was seriously itching for some retail therapy after Easter. I told myself I would remain disciplined, but then one pair of heels became two pairs of heels. Then, three pairs of heels became four pairs of heels. And after the fifth pair, I stopped counting. Sigh…so much for discipline! I confess, I’m a shoe addict! (more…)
I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! We certainly did. My beautiful niece, Kristin, had the honor of playing the Virgin Mary in her school’s Passion play this year. It’s not the first time she’s had that honor and we are all so proud of her. Unfortunately, I have no picture to share. Due to the pandemic, it was just an in class production (no audience). I’ve featured stories about Kristin on the blog throughout the years and you can find one of those stories here. (more…)
Lizzy’s Latest is FINALLY back with a new post! It’s been a whirlwind of a month for me! Work has been crazy busy and I’ve been enjoying weekends with good friends. On one weekend in particular, my BFF, Packy, and I went skiing. It was my first time skiing and OH MY, what an experience! I will definitely detail that adventure in a future blog post. 🙂 (more…)
Taking pictures for the blog has been quite limited during this pandemic. With everything closed, we have been staying in the neighborhood for photo shoots. This time around, we ventured a little further into Southern Maryland. (more…)
If you’ve been following my blog on a regular basis, you know about my Forever BFF, Tammy, and my East Coast BFF, Packy. Well, there is one other girl who completes my trifecta of besties. She was a girl I used to know who remains close to my heart. She was my Eternal BFF, Shari. The first time we met was serendipitous and from that moment on, we became the best of friends. We got into so much mischief together (as kids do!), but always gave the appearance of being perfect angels. 😉 When we lost touch many years ago, I never forgot Shari, even searching for her over the years to no avail. Her impact on my life was immense and I often reminisced about our adventures and prayed that she was healthy and happy. (more…)
It’s been a long while…I know! I apologize for my absence from the blog last month. May was unusually busy for me. I was in South Carolina the beginning of the month for my niece, Kristin’s, First Holy Communion. I had a one week reprieve before heading up to New York City for my sister, Jeanette’s, graduate school graduation from Columbia University. My little sister is an Ivy Leaguer. 🙂 I had another short reprieve before I was on the road again for a few days of rest and relaxation in Virginia Beach. And before I knew it, May was gone. (more…)
Winter has overstayed its welcome here in the DC area in my humble opinion. On the first day of Spring, we got hit with a snow storm that dumped several inches of snow. March has yet to see a 60-degree day here and I am just annoyed. Sigh! (more…)
