Lizzy’s Latest – Happy Easter!
Happy Easter, my lovelies!
Luke 24: 5-6: “…Why do you seek the living one among the dead? He is not here, but he has been raised.”
I had intended for this heel/outfit combo to be a one shot Instagram post today. Then, on my way to photo shoot this look, my friend, Mike, texted to wish me a Happy Easter. Y’all remember my friend, Mike, right? If not, click here to read about Mike. 🙂 When I told him we were photo shooting, he texted back saying he was looking forward to a new blog post. It has been a while…I know, I’m constantly (fashionably) late! 😉 That stuck in my head as Dad snapped away at this latest shoot.
Unfortunately, we didn’t have the best weather conditions for this photo shoot. The wind was relentless and the sun was too bright, casting unflattering shadows on my face and body. We took 358 pictures for this “quick” photo shoot. I ended up liking these 12 and because there were enough pics for a blog post, I decided to put one together tonight. You’re welcome, Mike! 🙂
FYI…my heels are the Nina Fenna platform stiletto sandals. I paired the heels with this beautiful raspberry chiffon dress. When I have more time, I will add the link through Reward Style if you’re interested in this lovely dress. I love it! It’s very flowy and I felt so tall, thin, and beautiful in this dress. Plus, this jewel tone color is gorgeous!
After the shoot, we enjoyed a delicious pulled pork meal. Dad is not only a great photographer, but he’s a great cook too! He slow cooked the pork in a slow cooker first overnight before transferring it to the oven. Check out the yummy pulled pork:

The dramatic cliff that appears in the background of some of these pictures is entirely natural (no photo shopping whatsoever). To get the right camera angle so as to have it behind Lizzy, took some doing, because it required us going out on a long a pier that was fenced-off, closed to the public, and there wasn’t anyone around to let us on it. That didn’t stop us though from trying to find a way in, and just when we were about to give up, a gate allowing access mysteriously opened. It did so all on its own, so slowly and silently, that we were hesitant to pass through it. But pass we did (the shot was too good to pass up). Thankfully it turned out that we had nothing to fear. The pier was in excellent shape and we weren’t molested by any entity, supernatural or otherwise. The only adverse reaction we did experience was from a goose who hissed viciously when we accidentally got too close to her nest.
This Lizzy’s Latest post has the distinction of being the first ever to publish the same day as its pictures were taken. It takes a LOT of work to create a post. So Brava Lizzy for getting this one put together and published on the day it celebrates, Easter Sunday, A.D. MMXXII.

Great summary of our afternoon after Easter Sunday Mass, Dad! It was eerie to see that door mysteriously open and how we thought twice about passing through it. I’m glad we did to get these pics. We didn’t notice the goose that hissed at you because she was camouflaged. The next thing I noticed was a neck stretching your way and hissing. That’s when I screamed…haha…and thank goodness I did! Otherwise, she may have bit you. We apologized to the goose and moved on.
The pics were worth it…I really liked the dramatic cliff. We even talked about coming back for a future shoot.

And the wind is torture at times. But then again, don’t the professionals use a wind machine. So maybe this is your natural wind machine/?

This dress on you! That vibrant pink is beyond gorgeous. Also loving the platform sandals- I’m all about height, and these look like they definitely bring it!

Hello, Lizzy! Just wondering what´s happened to your blog? Hope you haven´t stopped writing and that everything is alright?
Been looking in on your blog for quite a while, but only commented a few times. You are super classy, gorgeous and a very pretty and beautiful woman! 🙂 Love your outfits and your shoes/heels as well.
I like your personality too! You´re good at writing and expressing yourself, intelligent and seem to have a great sense of humor too. You once described yourself as high maintenance… I´ve always liked women who are a bit like that too! 🙂 The “princess” type of women and girly girl who is very feminine and concerned about her looks and outfits and wouldn´t do anything to get dirty or break a nail… I like that. 😉
Like I remember saying once before: You´re so elegant and gorgeous that if i ever met you by a mud puddle and i didn´t have a coat, i´d just lay flat on my back in it myself so you could walk across on me to save your heels! 😉
