Oh my goodness! Where to begin? I apologize for my extended absence from the blog, but life got busy. I’ve been traveling too. I took my niece, Kristin, on our annual girl’s trip to Hersheypark in Hershey, PA. We had a great time and I will write more about this in a future blog post. (more…)
After Easter, I went a little overboard with shoe shopping. I bought around 10 pairs of shoes in one sitting! These sky-high heels were in that bunch. I’ve never featured Jessica Simpson heels on the blog because a lot of her heels are too high for me and not necessarily the most comfortable. However, I took a chance on this pair because I love red stiletto heels and I wanted to pair them with this beautiful floral romper. (more…)
Hersheypark amusement park in Hershey, PA is such a happy place. I was so excited to return last July with my Godson, Andrew. Earlier in the summer, I had taken his sister, Kristin, to the park and we had a wonderful time. This time around, I looked forward to riding more roller coasters because Andrew is taller than Kristin. 🙂
Andrew’s a Hershey’s, one candy taller than Kristin. 🙂
When The Vampire Diaries (TVD) Convention came to Washington, DC in 2016, my good friend, Martina, suggested we attend this event so we could finally meet in person. We had been virtual friends since 2008 when our favorite boyband, The New Kids on the Block, reunited. We were also big fans of the show and Martina, at that time, frequented many TVD conventions. Winter has overstayed its welcome here in the DC area in my humble opinion. On the first day of Spring, we got hit with a snow storm that dumped several inches of snow. March has yet to see a 60-degree day here and I am just annoyed. Sigh! (more…)
It was mid-January in Southern Maryland and after a cold spell, Mother Nature gave us a beautiful weekend. Relatively warm days like these are few and far between in the wintertime here, so Dad and I took advantage of the nice weather and scheduled a photo shoot. (more…)
Every Christmas, I look forward to spending time with my Godsons, Andrew and Joshua, and my niece, Kristin. Usually, I get the two older kids, Andrew and Kristin, for a couple of days and we go on an adventure. Last year we went to ICE and this year, we went ice skating. I was so excited to share this experience with them because I loved ice skating as a kid. My Forever BFF, Tammy, and I would spend many Friday nights at the ice skating rink at La Jolla’s University Town Center (UTC) flirting with the cute guys as we skated to our favorite songs.(more…)
Every Christmas I volunteer at the former Museum of the Confederacy (now the American Civil War Museum) for Court End Christmas. I’ve had the honor of being Santa’s Elf every year and it’s always great catching up with my favorite Santa – the real Santa! 😉
This Christmas was especially meaningful to me. I was enjoying the company of family and creating precious memories, but also grieving my dear friend and Manager, Anna, who was tragically killed in a tour bus crash in Mexico days before Christmas along with her 11-year old son, Daniel, and her recently widowed mother. Anna’s husband, Moises, and 15-year old son, David, survived, thankfully. (more…)
These shots were taken the same day as my torturedSoles shoot. We finished taking pictures early for that fabulous collaboration and decided to take advantage of the beautiful Fall weather by fitting in another heel/outfit combo. I chose the BCBGeneration Elle booties because they are so perfect for Fall! The burgundy hue is on trend and the peep toes make it a great transition bootie for cooler weather.(more…)
