I was like the little engine that could in October and then my little engine lost its steam in November. Oopsie…sorry! I guess y’all are getting used to my inconsistent posting these days. I committed to post at least once a month, but I missed my November deadline. I was not happy about that, but such is life sometimes. All I can say is that I will do better and I appreciate your continued support for my little shoe blog. (more…)
While photo shooting a few weekends ago, we encountered this skeleton emerging from a manhole. It was part of a Halloween display decorating the town of La Plata, MD. As soon as I saw it, I knew it would make a great prop poking tongue in cheek fun at all the shoe and feet enthusiasts out there. As a shoe blogger, you can imagine the types of messages I get from these admirers…perhaps, that will be a future blog post! 😉
In the meantime, enjoy this Halloween tale about an unsuspecting shoe blogger and a stalking manhole masher in Lizzy vs. the Manhole Masher!
The paranormal has always intrigued me and my dad. Although, we don’t participate in any occult practices, we love wandering around haunted places, taking ghost tours, and exploring graveyards and cemeteries to indulge our taphophile hearts. (more…)
Are y’all surprised to hear from me so soon?! 😉 I’m truly trying to make up for all this lost time. This summer was hectic with work, summer adventures, and photo shoots. Although I didn’t post much these last couple of months, we were still taking pictures for the blog. I have a backlog of content from past summers and this summer to share. My dad is of the mindset that summer looks can be posted anytime of year. I tend to like to share outfits that complement the current season. Perhaps there can be a compromise. What do you think? Is it really September?! As I always ask, where does the time go? I’ve been away too long! Work has been busy as usual, but I took some time off in July to spend time with my two Godsons, Andrew and Josh. My brother and his boys stopped for a visit on their way to Ocean City, MD for their annual beach week. (more…)
One night several months ago, my dad was flipping channels and came across an episode of “What on Earth” (Season 5, episode 4 for those interested) featuring a ghost fleet of ships in Mallows Bay here in Southern Maryland. It caught our attention because we had a couple photo shoots at Mallows Bay around this time last year. Click here for a look back at one of those shoots. (more…)
💖 Happy Valentine’s Day! 💖 Lizzy’s Latest is back with a quick Shoespiration segment featuring the Michael Kors Keke Booties. Aren’t they chic in this brandy hue?! (more…)
Hello, my lovelies! I can’t tell you how excited I am to feature the INC Kenjay pumps on the blog. I’ve had the heels for some time now, but could not find the perfect outfit. This look came together a bit organically. I think I found the green coated jeans first and then the sweater, both from White House Black Market (on sale!). I wasn’t sure about the sweater because it is so voluminous and my petite frame always seems to drown in “big” tops. However, pics are always about the angles and Dad has become a bit of a pro at finding the right angles…or perhaps it’s me telling him to take more pics. Haha…sorry, Dad! We’ll just say it’s a combination of both. 😉 (more…)
Sometimes friendship is a destiny waiting to happen. One of the best gifts of starting my blog is connecting with my followers. One of my first followers is a guy named Mike. Mike has a great page filled with nature, sunsets/sunrises, and history. It’s a perfect trifecta of interests. (more…)
Last weekend, we were blessed with magnificent weather. Low humidity and temps in the upper 70s. Of course, we took advantage of this with multiple photo shoots. We spent Saturday in Richmond and stayed local on Sunday. I will detail the Richmond shoots when I feature those heels. (more…)
