Shoespiration – Aldo Gorgeous Dress Sandals – Port Tobacco, MD

Is it really September?!  As I always ask, where does the time go?  I’ve been away too long!  Work has been busy as usual, but I took some time off in July to spend time with my two Godsons, Andrew and Josh.  My brother and his boys stopped for a visit on their way to Ocean City, MD for their annual beach week.

I took Josh to Hersheypark for his first time and he loved it!  Although he wasn’t tall enough to get on Hersheypark’s latest rollercoaster, Candymonium, he was tall enough for many other rollercoasters.  One of Josh’s favorite rollercoasters is Lightening Racer.  It is a wooden dueling rollercoaster and we continued a tradition Andrew and I started many years ago when I first took Andrew to Hersheypark.  That is, we pick the rollercoaster we think will win and ride that rollercoaster.  If it doesn’t win, we come back and try again.  Unfortunately, Josh kept picking the red rollercoaster because that’s his favorite color, but the red rollercoaster kept losing to the green rollercoaster.  We rode the rollercoaster about 4 times before I was able to finally convince Josh to give the green rollercoaster a try and guess what?  We won!  I was secretly happy to be done with that rollercoaster.  πŸ˜‰

The very next day, Andrew and I picked up family friend, Connor, and headed to Kings Dominion.  Poor Connor suffers from acrophobia, but was determined to ride some rollercoasters with us.  He did great on the first rollercoaster, but suffered a mini panic attack after Flight of Fear.  He sat out the rest of the afternoon and kindly watched our bags while Andrew and I got on a few more rollercoasters.  What’s so disappointing about Kings Dominion is how early it closes (7PM the day we were there) and how long the lines were to get on the good rollercoasters.  I didn’t think to buy one of those passes because I’ve never had issues at amusement parks, but this would have been a good day to have one of those passes.  Despite, we had a great time and even Connor remained content.  πŸ™‚

Andrew is now taller than me! He had a growth spurt a few months ago and was so excited to show me how tall he got. I’m soooo vertically challenged!

Fast forward to August and my BFF, Packy, and I took her kids, Tristan and Trinity, to Hersheypark before they started school.  It’s an annual tradition and I usually take 1 or 2 of my brother’s kids, but the timing did not work out for them to come this year.  Packy loves the water rides and she finally convinced me to get my hair wet (I don’t like getting my hair wet!).  We went on a ride called Tidal Force which makes a huge splash on its final dive.  There were warnings on the walls advising riders that they will get soaked.  So, of course, when we were next for the ride, I asked the attendant where I could sit to get the least soaked.  Haha…I’m sure you can imagine his reaction.  πŸ˜‰ And boy, did I get soaked!  We all did!

One of the best memories from that day was taking Tristan on his first big rollercoaster ride.  I took him on Candymonium and while we were waiting in line, he asked me if he would survive the ride. He was clearly nervous, but I reassured him he would be ok.  And he was ok!  He did great!  So great, he was eager to ride other rollercoasters with me.  πŸ™‚

Tristan’s face! We were all laughing at this pic. Even Tristan loved it. He wants someone to turn his pic into a meme. LOL!

After my day at Hersheypark with Packy, I headed to Savannah (again!) with my parents for some vacation time.Β  I will detail that trip in a future post.Β

For now, check out these gorgeous white heels from Aldo.Β  They are aptly named Gorgeous.Β  They are the perfect summer heels.Β  I paired them with a skirt and white top.Β  It’s an easy breezy look that projects summer vibes!Β  These heels are approximately 4 inches and super comfortable.Β  Stilettos are so sexy to me and a big reason I was drawn to this pair.Β  The sandals would also look great with shorts, dresses, and jeans for a more casual look.Β

Hope y’all are having a great summer!Β  A special shout-out to Sean for helping me select my cover shot!Β  Lizzy’s Latest will be back in a few weeks with a new post.Β  Until then, enjoy the pics!

XoXo,

Lizzy
