💖 Happy Valentine’s Day! 💖 Lizzy’s Latest is back with a quick Shoespiration segment featuring the Michael Kors Keke Booties. Aren’t they chic in this brandy hue?!
This is another photo shoot from the Lizzy’s Latest vault. We took these shots last March, but since we were heading into spring, I decided to wait until this winter to feature them. With the pretty pink vibes, I thought Valentine’s Day would be a nice day for this heel/outfit debut on the blog. 🙂
I adore the snake print style of these leather booties and stilettos have always been my favorite type of heels. At approximately 4 inches, they are comfortable. Also, they are Michael Kors, need I say more? 😘
I paired the booties with pink-ish corduroy skinny pants and a matching sweater because it was a bit nippy that March afternoon. I really love how the booties pop with its rich brandy color. I’ve also paired them with burgundy ankle pants, jeans, and skirts. They go with many looks and unfortunately, they seem to be sold out in this particular color. Go figure! However, you can do an internet search for “Michael Kors Keke Booties,” to see what comes up.
I hope y’all have a wonderful Valentine’s Day! I was watching an episode of the current season of “The Last Kingdom” on Netflix (Soooo good! I highly recommend!) and there was a line dying Lord Aethelred said that struck me: “To live without being loved is torture.” His character was not a good person. He was selfish, cruel, and full of ego. Yet, he understood a basic human need: that we all desire to be loved. Unfortunately, in his case, he never learned how to reciprocate the way Jesus taught us, “…love one another as I love you” (John 15:12).
To love like Jesus can be challenging. One must let go of “I” and truly be selfless. To be considerate of another’s feelings before one’s own. I keep these verses close to my heart (1 Corinthians 13:4-13):
“Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous, (love) is not pompous, it is not inflated, it is not rude, it does not seek its own interests, it is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury, it does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. If there are prophecies, they will be brought to nothing; if tongues, they will cease; if knowledge, it will be brought to nothing. For we know partially and we prophesy partially, but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away. When I was a child, I used to talk as a child, think as a child, reason as a child; when I became a man, I put aside childish things. At present we see indistinctly, as in a mirror, but then face to face. At present I know partially; then I shall know fully, as I am fully known. So faith, hope, love remain, these three; but the greatest of these is love.”
Aspirational indeed, but attainable with practice. 🙂 As Elizabeth Bourgeret wrote, “Love begets love. If you show it, you will feel it. If you give it, you will receive it.”
I hope your day is full of love, happiness, and chocolate! I usually remain disciplined during the week, no sweets. However, I relax that rule on the weekends, particularly on Sundays when I love to enjoy chocolate or chocolate chip ice cream. I call this day my “ice cream Sundays” (Get it?!) 😀 So, how lucky am I that Valentine’s Day just happens to be on a Sunday this year! I guess that means I can eat more! Sweet!

This is a super fun look for Valentine’s Day! The boots are fire! I will have to check out The Last Kingdom when I turn my Netflix back on. I watched “Trust” on Hulu and it was really good. Have you seen Versailles? Not exactly super historical but close. Though very entertaining and fun to watch with lots of eye candy with good hair!
