When the New Kids on the Block (NKOTB) reunited back in late 2007, I was one of the lucky fans who saw them live on the Today Show on May 16, 2008, their first live concert since 1994! Now an adult, it was exciting and surreal to watch the boyband of my childhood performing right in front of me. Donnie Wahlberg (my favorite New Kid) flashed his million dollar smile at me and my heart raced as I smiled back. (more…)

People are always surprised when they learn that I love Civil War and Ancient Rome history. How is it that a girl who loves fashion also loves exploring battlefields and ancient ruins? It reminds me of the time when my best friend, Tammy, and I used to ponder how girls who love boy bands could also love rock bands? To us, liking rock bands seemed like such a betrayal to our favorite boy band. So, we just didn’t. Yet, music has a way of capturing hearts and minds and we eventually came to appreciate all music.

The color pink always brings me back to my childhood. Although I was a tomboy, I did have my girly side. Still do. So it is no surprise, being the nostalgic girl that I am, pink is still one of my favorite colors.

What is Instagram etiquette? Whenever I get a new follower, I often wonder if I’m supposed to follow back even if the follower’s “brand” is completely different from my own.
