So, I have to give credit to my dad for suggesting a carnival photo shoot for the 4th of July. When we were throwing out ideas, I thought it would be cool to take a drive to Williamsburg, VA and check out the President Heads. When I showed Dad some pics, he scoffed and reminded me my stilettos would get dirty in the mud. OK … maybe, not my best idea, but I was also a little hesitant about the carnival thinking it would be too crowded. Dad assured me we would go before it opened and despite my reticence, I agreed for lack of a better location. (more…)

Hello, my lovelies! I can’t tell you how excited I am to feature the INC Kenjay pumps on the blog. I’ve had the heels for some time now, but could not find the perfect outfit. This look came together a bit organically. I think I found the green coated jeans first and then the sweater, both from White House Black Market (on sale!). I wasn’t sure about the sweater because it is so voluminous and my petite frame always seems to drown in “big” tops. However, pics are always about the angles and Dad has become a bit of a pro at finding the right angles…or perhaps it’s me telling him to take more pics. Haha…sorry, Dad! HAPPY NEW YEAR to all my family, friends, followers, and visitors! 2021 will be an epic year, I can feel it! 😉 Do y’all do resolutions? I do not. Resolutions are so easily broken. Haha! It is that time of year again when summer’s farewell lingers like the final notes of a beautifully composed piece of music. The ambience is sublime and filled with mirthful memories of time well spent. Holding on for one more hurrah and always one more until there is no more. Parting is such sweet sorrow tempered by fall’s inevitable tomorrow. Enticed, fall captivates with colorful landscapes and dancing leaves that fall from above. The aroma of burning wood on crisp evenings signals the start of sweater weather, boots, and everything else we love about this new season. Crisp mornings and warm afternoons signal a change in season is imminent. I don’t want Summer to end, but the beauty of Fall is alluring. I love watching the leaves change colors as Summer becomes a distant memory. For me, Fall truly arrives the moment I smell the sweet scent of firewood in the evening air. In all my San Diego excitement, I forgot to mention where the pics for this week’s blog were taken: The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC. The National Shrine is across the street from Catholic University and the Franciscan Monastery where my blog pics from the last three weeks were taken.
Before my San Diego trip in August, the last time I saw my best friend, Tammy, whom I’ve often talked about on this blog, was over ten years ago! It’s hard for me to fathom the time that has passed. Yet, it felt like no time had passed when we were reunited at my hotel. Finally, face to face with my BFF and she looked as beautiful as when I last saw her. We always joke it is the Asian gene that keeps us young (yes, we are both halfies!). We hugged and began catching up while giggling like we used to when we were teenagers. (more…)
