Lizzy’s Latest – INC International Concepts Kenjay American Flag d’Orsay Pumps

So, I have to give credit to my dad for suggesting a carnival photo shoot for the 4th of July.  When we were throwing out ideas, I thought it would be cool to take a drive to Williamsburg, VA and check out the President Heads.  When I showed Dad some pics, he scoffed and reminded me my stilettos would get dirty in the mud.  OK … maybe, not my best idea, but I was also a little hesitant about the carnival thinking it would be too crowded.  Dad assured me we would go before it opened and despite my reticence, I agreed for lack of a better location.

In hindsight, the carnival was the perfect spot for an Independence Day post.  You can’t get more American than that!  Dad, I admit, you were right.  😊  I am certain Dad will be gloating after reading my admission!  Lol!

And talk about being in the right spot at the right time.  Our encounter with Paul, the Jolly Shows Carnival owner, gave us a unique opportunity to elevate this photo shoot from typical to grand!  Paul’s magnanimous gesture, gifting us free rein of his carnival, resulted in one of the best shoots for Lizzy’s Latest thus far.

We were only limited by a headache that hit me and got progressively worse as the shoot went on.  Had I not felt so ill, I would have wanted to take pics on almost every ride.  Well, even if I had soldiered on, sprinkles moved in ending this fun shoot.

We quickly walked back to the mall and found a place for me to sit while Dad went into Dad mode and ran to Target to buy me some Aleve.  While I waited, I looked down at my heels and admired the beauty of these American flag pumps.  I’m so proud to be an American and love showing my patriotism.  I bought the heels last year and could not wait to feature them here on the blog.

I am enamored with the pretty red, white, and blue rhinestones and pearls that give the American flags the sparkle factor as light hits the jewels.  I felt so comfortable in these pumps.  They are at my perfect heel height of 3.75 inches.  Although my head was pounding, my feet delighted in a cushion of contentment.

It did help that I was wearing torturedSoles anti-slip shoe pads.  If you’ve been following my blog, you know that I have narrow heels and can’t wear traditional pumps because my foot always slips out of the heel.  torturedSoles is my secret weapon and it has given me the freedom to wear traditional pumps again.  Check out my last post about torturedSoles here.

Unfortunately, these heels are no longer widely available.  However, you can do an internet search for “INC Kenjay d’Orsay American Flag Pumps” and see what comes up.  And if these heels look familiar, there’s a reason for that.  I featured the INC International Concepts Kenjay d’Orsay pumps in a different pattern here back in January.  I really love this heel style.

Hope y’all are having a fun summer!  It’s going by way too fast for me.  My brother and his family were up last weekend for a visit, so I took a few days off to enjoy some family time.  I will write more about that in a future post.

Have a great start to your week!  Lizzy’s Latest will be back featuring new heels in the next week or two.  Until then, stay safe and healthy.

Style with a Smile!

XoXo
