HAPPY NEW YEAR to all my family, friends, followers, and visitors! 2021 will be an epic year, I can feel it! 😉 Do y’all do resolutions? I do not. Resolutions are so easily broken. Haha! This was the second photo shoot taken at Sideling Hill Road Cut (aka The Cut) in Western Maryland. After the photo shoot, an older woman struck up a conversation with Dad and me. She told us her family is local to the area and that her great, great, great grandfather was part of the construction crew that blasted through the mountains. “Great, great, great grandfather”, I asked? “Yes,” said the woman, “great, great, great grandfather.” Well, he must have been one fit old man considering construction occurred in the early 1980s! 😉 (more…)
I am slow as molasses when it comes to getting ready. Last August, during my trip to San Diego, my Forever BFF, Tammy, was so bewildered at the length of time it took me to get ready that she woke up early just to observe my morning ritual! This time around, she woke up 30 minutes before we had to leave for our Savannah tour. (more…)
In all my San Diego excitement, I forgot to mention where the pics for this week’s blog were taken: The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC. The National Shrine is across the street from Catholic University and the Franciscan Monastery where my blog pics from the last three weeks were taken.
Before my San Diego trip in August, the last time I saw my best friend, Tammy, whom I’ve often talked about on this blog, was over ten years ago! It’s hard for me to fathom the time that has passed. Yet, it felt like no time had passed when we were reunited at my hotel. Finally, face to face with my BFF and she looked as beautiful as when I last saw her. We always joke it is the Asian gene that keeps us young (yes, we are both halfies!). We hugged and began catching up while giggling like we used to when we were teenagers. (more…)
