What’s a Thanksgiving celebration without a little family fun? Ever since my brother got married, we have always teased him about not cooking a turkey. It’s hard to believe Thanksgiving is next week! I’ve been in a festive mood since the beginning of November. I was at the mall and Hallmark was having a special on Christmas cards. I could not help myself, I purchased two boxes of cards knowing I would probably only need one. (more…)

Sometimes, life’s wonderful moments happen unexpectedly. About a month or so ago, my friend, Bill, surprised me. He said he would be in my area attending his older brother’s pinning ceremony for promotion to Colonel in the United States Air Force! I was so happy for Bill and his family because many years before, their father had a similar pinning ceremony when he was promoted to Colonel. Their military service had come full circle and I can only imagine the pride and joy beaming from their hearts as Stephen was pinned. (more…)

I have to admit, I’ve lived in Southern Maryland for many years now and this was my first time in Solomons Island. It is a quaint town on the Patuxent River/Chesapeake Bay. Very picturesque. It is a perfect destination for a weekend getaway and/or a photo shoot. 🙂 (more…)
Charleston, SC is a city I enjoy visiting because of its Civil War past. So, it was only natural for my Forever BFF, Tammy, and I to take a day trip there. We left Savannah early Sunday morning. When we were about 20 miles into South Carolina, traffic came to a crawl on Interstate 95 North. Tammy exclaimed: “Look!” and we saw an exit ramp flooded with a submerged car!
Last Saturday, I got to spend time with my Godson, Andrew, and niece, Kristin. On their way to the beach, my brother and his family took a break from their drive for some family time. The kids were excited too about a slumber party with Aunt Lizzy. 🙂 (more…)
I am a girly-girl at heart. So, I could not help, but fall in love with these fringe lace ups by Steve Madden. They are the epitome of sexy! The flirty fringe at the toe strap is so playful that I found myself stretching my legs in a dramatic walk to catch a glimpse of the ever so subtle swoosh of the fringe. 😉 What adds glamour to this sandal is the approximately 4.25 inch heel (pretty high even for me) and the ankle strap lace ups. I love the tassel detail at the end of the lace ups too. It adds such a nice touch to this gorgeous heel. (more…)
