When I began my blog journey some years ago, our go-to destination for photo shoots was Richmond, VA. Richmond is steeped in Civil War history and remnants of the Old South’s charm still feel warm and inviting. August was full of adventure for me! I was in Savannah, GA earlier in the month and had a wonderful time. I will detail that trip in a future blog post. I also spent time with my two Godsons and niece in SC mid-August. We had an 80s themed party which I will also share in a future blog post. By the end of August, we were back to photo shooting for the blog. I cannot wait to feature that post because it deals with the legend of Moll Dyer, a local woman who lived a century or so ago and was rumored to be a witch. Perfect post for October! 😉 (more…)
In all my San Diego excitement, I forgot to mention where the pics for this week’s blog were taken: The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC. The National Shrine is across the street from Catholic University and the Franciscan Monastery where my blog pics from the last three weeks were taken.
Before my San Diego trip in August, the last time I saw my best friend, Tammy, whom I’ve often talked about on this blog, was over ten years ago! It’s hard for me to fathom the time that has passed. Yet, it felt like no time had passed when we were reunited at my hotel. Finally, face to face with my BFF and she looked as beautiful as when I last saw her. We always joke it is the Asian gene that keeps us young (yes, we are both halfies!). We hugged and began catching up while giggling like we used to when we were teenagers. (more…)
If you’ve been reading my posts, you know my fling with fringe started with the Report Signature – Noemie T-Strap sandals. I was so in love with those heels and then the Steve Madden Fringly happened! Love at first sight…again! The colors are so gorgeous. Blue, purple, and yellow! Not to mention the traditional colors of black, taupe, and chestnut brown. I was soooo tempted to buy it in blue, but I ALWAYS seem to buy blue. So, I went out of my comfort zone and chose the yellow which is more of a yellowy-lime in person. (more…)
