Winter has overstayed its welcome here in the DC area in my humble opinion. On the first day of Spring, we got hit with a snow storm that dumped several inches of snow. March has yet to see a 60-degree day here and I am just annoyed. Sigh! (more…)
It was mid-January in Southern Maryland and after a cold spell, Mother Nature gave us a beautiful weekend. Relatively warm days like these are few and far between in the wintertime here, so Dad and I took advantage of the nice weather and scheduled a photo shoot. (more…)
People are always surprised when they learn that I love Civil War and Ancient Rome history. How is it that a girl who loves fashion also loves exploring battlefields and ancient ruins? It reminds me of the time when my best friend, Tammy, and I used to ponder how girls who love boy bands could also love rock bands? To us, liking rock bands seemed like such a betrayal to our favorite boy band. So, we just didn’t. Yet, music has a way of capturing hearts and minds and we eventually came to appreciate all music.

Lizzy’s Latest is one week old! My first week as a shoe blogger was eventful. I spent many evenings working on my Facebook page and reaching out to the Instagram community. I am new to Instagram and when I posted my first picture announcing my blog, I didn’t get much of a response. At first, I thought that was normal.
