What is Instagram etiquette?  Whenever I get a new follower, I often wonder if I’m supposed to follow back even if the follower’s “brand” is completely different from my own.  Initially, I followed followers back out of courtesy.  Then, this started happening.  With some followers, soon after I started following back, the follower would un-follow me.  Huh?!  (more…)

I am old school when it comes to technology.  I had a Blackberry until it died and I was “forced” to upgrade.  I have a Samsung Galaxy now and I love it.  Yet, I still hold on to antiquated habits such as owning a tube TV (“vintage,”right?), mailing bills, and doing my banking at the bank.  Yes, I still balance my checkbook too!

Shoes with a dash of flair usually catch my eye.  What caught my eye on these chic, black stilettos were the tassels, of course!  Tassels continue to be a popular trend.  Merge tassels with a gladiator style sandal (also in vogue) and you get the Enzo Angiolini Leluna sandals. (more…)

Lizzy’s Latest is one week old!  My first week as a shoe blogger was eventful.  I spent many evenings working on my Facebook page and reaching out to the Instagram community.  I am new to Instagram and when I posted my first picture announcing my blog, I didn’t get much of a response.  At first, I thought that was normal.  Then, I realized a day or two later, I should have used hashtags!  Lesson learned! Hollywood Cemetery – Chasing Lizzy

The location for my first blog post was Richmond, VA.  Richmond has been my favorite city to visit ever since I became interested in Civil War history.  With lots to see and do there, it felt right to combine my love of shoes with my love of history. 

I chose an interesting locale:  Hollywood Cemetery.  The first time I visited Hollywood, I was consumed by the beauty of it.  Located along the James River, it is an architectural masterpiece.   It is more than just a place to pay respect to those who have passed.  It is a garden cemetery where you can find runners, painters, dog walkers, tourists and even people enjoying lunch.  So, why not add a shoe blogger to the mix?!
