So, I have to give credit to my dad for suggesting a carnival photo shoot for the 4th of July. When we were throwing out ideas, I thought it would be cool to take a drive to Williamsburg, VA and check out the President Heads. When I showed Dad some pics, he scoffed and reminded me my stilettos would get dirty in the mud. OK … maybe, not my best idea, but I was also a little hesitant about the carnival thinking it would be too crowded. Dad assured me we would go before it opened and despite my reticence, I agreed for lack of a better location. (more…)

Happy Fourth of July! Today we celebrate America’s birthday. It was 242 years ago today that the original 13 colonies adopted the Declaration of Independence. Today, it is a day for family and friends to come together and celebrate our nation’s birthday with barbecues, parades, concerts, fireworks, and the like. My family and I will certainly be participating in the festivities. 🙂 (more…)
