I hope y’all are enjoying this summer. I apologize for my absence … again! It’s been an adventurous summer filled with work, photo shoots, and travel. I have so much content waiting for me to prepare and share. I just need to find some time to work on them and I will find the time. Though, I have a feeling these summer posts may linger into fall. 😉
Sometimes chance encounters are fated to spark spontaneous adventures. While photo shooting at a recreated Union encampment at the Dr. Samuel A. Mudd House Museum in Southern, Maryland, an unassuming man rode towards us in his ATV. Dad, my photographer, worried he would kick us off the set.
Back in late April, I received a collaboration request from Holysouq, an online family owned business in Jerusalem specializing in handcrafted leather products such as handbags, leather accessories, and souvenirs. Camel, their shoe division, specializes in a variety of summer flat sandals for women and men. Their sandals are handmade by an expert team of crafters using only green materials in their production process.
It’s been a long while…I know! I apologize for my absence from the blog last month. May was unusually busy for me. I was in South Carolina the beginning of the month for my niece, Kristin’s, First Holy Communion. I had a one week reprieve before heading up to New York City for my sister, Jeanette’s, graduate school graduation from Columbia University. My little sister is an Ivy Leaguer. 🙂 …
A few months ago, a representative from Grace Karin contacted me about a fashion collaboration. Intrigued, I did a quick search on the company and was pleasantly surprised to see beautiful dresses on their site. What was even more surprising was how inexpensive the dresses were. This, of course, made me question the quality of the dresses. However, my curiosity won over and I agreed to the fashion collaboration.
There are plenty of options for black patent pumps, but finding the one takes a lot of patience and sometimes a dose of serendipity. One day, as I perused shoes on the internet, these caught my eye. The wraparound ankle straps look so stylish with sexy stiletto heels. In black patent, this swank shoe quickly became a “gotta have it” pair for me.
Almost every year around Christmastime, my childhood friend, Lee, brings up Mardi Gras. And every time he brings it up, I hesitate because I loathe crowds and rarely drink. I would always tell him, “Maybe next year.” To which he would respond, “Liz, you need to get out more.”
Is it already March?! Hope y’all have been well. This will be a short post. I am headed off on an adventure with friends and still need to finish packing. I will detail it in a future blog post.
We were supposed to get a mix of snow and rain this weekend, but fortunately, that did not come to fruition. Instead, the day was brisk. Temperatures remained in the 40s with a mix of sun and clouds. Brrr!!!
My search for white boots had been ongoing over the last few years. I was looking for a slouchy pair with stiletto heels that were at least 3 inches. Unfortunately, most I came across were block heels. They were nice, but did not fit my criteria. Then, one mundane Monday I came across these beauties and the day quickly turned exciting.
