We were supposed to get a mix of snow and rain this weekend, but fortunately, that did not come to fruition. Instead, the day was brisk. Temperatures remained in the 40s with a mix of sun and clouds. Brrr!!! (more…)
My search for white boots had been ongoing over the last few years. I was looking for a slouchy pair with stiletto heels that were at least 3 inches. Unfortunately, most I came across were block heels. They were nice, but did not fit my criteria. Then, one mundane Monday I came across these beauties and the day quickly turned exciting. Vince Camuto read my mind when they created the Abrianna Slouch booties! With a shoe sale going on at Macy’s, I quickly selected my size and added this pair to my cart. (more…)

It was love at first sight when I discovered these boots online. I adored them so much, I included them on Lizzy’s Latest Top 5 Fall Favorites back in September. What I didn’t like was the $120 price tag. Eventually, I caught a sale and purchased them at a 30% discount. 🙂 (more…)

It was a brisk autumn day at the Antietam National Battlefield in Sharpsburg, MD on November 3, 2018. After an afternoon of photo shooting around the main areas of the battlefield, we had one more heel/outfit combo to fit in before sunset. It was a little after 5PM and we were not sure where to go next for the final photo shoot. With sunlight quickly dissipating, we found a patch of road lined with historic fencing. It was a lonely road save for a passing car or two; perfect for an impromptu photo shoot. (more…)
Edgar Allan Poe remained true to his art. He had so many opportunities to lead a life of practicality, but he always found ways to flee complacency. For Poe’s passion was writing and he was determined to earn a living wage through his fictions.
