Shoespiration: Vince Camuto Welton Moto Boots

Now that my shoe blog is monthly, the time in between posts sometimes feels like too long of an absence from all of you, at least to me.  As such, I’ve launched a new segment on my blog called, “Shoespiration.”  🙂  Its intent is to fill the fashion void that lingers between my main blog posts.  It’s a mini blog post; a sort of fashion fix if you will to get us through the month.  😉 (more…)

Lizzy’s Latest – Marc Fisher Truthe Suede Lace-Up Pumps

Lately, it seems every weekend I plan to take pictures, the weather turns cold.  The weekend of this photo shoot was no exception.  The temperature stayed in the 30s and the wind was gusty for the majority of the shoot.  However, with St. Patrick’s Day in March, I was determined to share this cute asymmetrical green skirt.  🙂 (more…)

Smallwood State Park – New Beginnings

A few weeks ago, Feedspot, an online RSS feed reader, compiled a list of the Top 75 Shoe Websites and Blogs on the Web based on their index using search and social metrics.  To my surprise and delight, Lizzy’s Latest made this list!  My little blog came in at number 51 with plenty of room to grow! 🙂 (more…)

Lizzy’s Latest – Cameron Silver for Nine West Painted Heart Boots

When we shot this photo shoot a few weekends ago, it was meant for a mini blog post.  My intent was to have a new segment on the blog that would feature fashion inspiration in between full blog posts.  It would be my way to stay connected with all of you in the interim because publishing monthly sometimes feels like too long of an absence, at least to me.  However, we took so many great shots that I decided to bump the heel/outfit combo I initially had for February and go with this heel/outfit combo instead.  And just FYI…the new segment is still in the works.  So, stay tuned! Southern Maryland – Vanishing Santa!

At dinner with my parents a month ago, Mom asked if I could print a Kohls coupon for her.  I assured her I would, and thought nothing more of it.  As we continued talking, Mom started nudging Dad and giggling.  I could tell Dad did not want to acknowledge what was unspoken between them.  Of course, that piqued my curiosity prompting me to ask: (more…)

Lizzy’s Latest – White House Black Market Rebel Suede Moto Boots

The weekend we took these pictures, we had no particular destination in mind.  Surrendering to wanderlust, we headed to Richmond, our default destination for adventure.  Eventually, we settled on the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden named after one of Richmond’s beloved citizens.  (more…)

Richmond, VA – Beaver Dam Creek Battlefield – Happy New Year!

Back in early December, my dad sent me, my mom, brother, and sister separate emails with the following question:

“Who in our family is the most excited by, desirous of, jazzed over toys?”

Our response was unanimous:  MOM!

Yes, even Mom said, “Mom.”  😉  (more…)

Lizzy’s Latest – Marc Fisher Kava Tasseled Booties

Southern MD – The Thomas Stone House – Thanksgiving Fun

What’s a Thanksgiving celebration without a little family fun?  Ever since my brother got married, we have always teased him about not cooking a turkey.  Instead he and his wife, Shannon, usually order a turkey dinner from their local grocery store.  Perish the thought…especially if you grew up in an Italian household like we did.      (more…)

Lizzy’s Latest – INC International Concepts Laini Block-Heel booties

wed-1-img_3021-finalDue to the rain, we remained local for this photo shoot.  Dad and I drove to the Thomas Stone House in Port Tobacco, MD.  If you’re not familiar with the name, you’re not alone.  When I first moved to Southern Maryland, I had no idea who Thomas Stone was either.  However, I quickly learned that Thomas Stone was one of the 56 men who signed the Declaration of Independence.  That is quite an accomplishment for a humble planter and lawyer.
