Lizzy’s Latest – Sotterly Plantation – Vince Camuto Lethalia Dress Sandals

I just got back from a 4th of July getaway in Pensacola, FL.  This was my first adventure since Christmas.  I needed a break and some beach time.  I had a lot of fun, was in good company, and hope to share this story on the blog one day.

In the meantime, how about indulging in some heel time with me?  😉  Aren’t these block heels far out?!  From the wood-like platforms to the groovy button rivets, the Lethalia sandals have a retro vibe flavor that is so sexy and chic.

I feel so tall and confident strutting the catwalk of life in these heels.  However, I must confess, the heels are very high at approximately 4.33 inches.  There is a 1-inch platform for comfort and a cushioned sole, but they’re not enough for all day ease.  So, bring a pair of flip flops to change into like I did.

The sandals are still available here, but sizing is very limited.  You could also do an internet search for “Vince Camuto Lethalia dress sandals” to see what pops up.

These heels are perfect for happy hours, date nights, and/or a girls night out.  You could even wear them to church with the right outfit.

Speaking of outfits, grab your Tiger Beat, pull up your tube socks, and put on those mood rings for some old school style.  😉  To complete the look, I paired the heels with an olive-green jumpsuit (jumpsuits are having a moment and you should definitely get one now!).  It was a spontaneous purchase off Amazon and really fashion off Amazon is hit or miss.  Unfortunately, this jumpsuit, in a size Small (smallest size available), was still big on me.  And although, this is not one of my favorite looks on the blog (I’m not sure I dig an olive-green jumpsuit…), we did have a great time at the photo shoot.

We traveled to Sotterley Plantation, another Southern Maryland gem.  Originally built as a two-room house in 1703, it is now almost 100 acres with lots of historic buildings.  Yet, only one is an original:  an 1830s slave cabin.  In 2000, it was dedicated a National Historic Landmark and boasts impressive views of the Patuxent River as well as miles of nature trails.

We did not get to tour the buildings due to the pandemic, but the property was open and we took full advantage of the gardens and the views.  In some of these shots, I felt transported in time.  In other shots, I felt like a superhero scaling buildings.  Can you tell the difference?  😉

It was a fun shoot and we plan to return, perhaps when the weather is bit cooler and the buildings are open for touring.

Have a great weekend!  Lizzy’s Latest will be back with a new post soon.  Until then, stay safe and healthy.

Style with a Smile!

XoXo,

Lizzy
