Happy Birthday, America!!! 249 years young! It was on this day back in 1776 that 56 men representing the 13 original colonies signed the Declaration of Independence. This new nation would no longer acquiesce to the whims of a tyrannical British monarch under King George III. Rather, our independence from Britain established the greatest nation in the history of the world. And the countdown to the United States’ 250th birthday (Semiquincentennial) on July 4, 2026 has commenced! Guided by Task Force 250, the salute toAmerica will be a year full of festivities celebrating our great nation. 🙂

Ever since I commenced this blog in 2015, I feel like I am constantly chasing time. Last month, my intent was to post a main blog post with part 2 of my New Orleans adventure with my Forever BFF, Tammy, but as always, time was fleeting. Now, it’s October and I have “Ghostober” posts perfect for the month of Halloween. These posts can’t be delayed and as such, my main blog post shall linger into November.
