Shoespiration – Anne Klein Lalima Platform Sandals

Are y’all surprised to hear from me so soon?!Β  πŸ˜‰Β  I’m truly trying to make up for all this lost time.Β  This summer was hectic with work, summer adventures, and photo shoots.Β  Although I didn’t post much these last couple of months, we were still taking pictures for the blog.Β  I have a backlog of content from past summers and this summer to share.Β  My dad is of the mindset that summer looks can be posted anytime of year.Β  I tend to like to share outfits that complement the current season.Β  Perhaps there can be a compromise.Β  What do you think?

This is one of those compromise posts.Β  Are you happy, Dad?!Β  Last week, Lizzy’s Latest was sharing fall shoe inspo and this week, it’s back to summer.Β  It’s still pretty warm in the DMV (DC/MD/VA, in case you’re wondering) and I’d like to get at least one more summertime look in before the transition to fall commences.Β

These pretty in pink heels are the Lalima from Anne Klein.Β  The have a kind of retro vibe to them which I adore.Β  The platform heels are super comfy and high at approximately 4.5 inches.Β  I felt so tall walking in them and they made my legs look super long too!Β

I paired the heels with pink shorts and a floral top for that girly-girl bliss!Β  This look makes me smile. 😊 AND…these heels will transition nicely into fall when paired with any type of flare jeans and feminine top.Β  Β

Have a great week!Β  There will be at least 2 more posts this month.Β  πŸ˜‰ One will be about a paranormal experience Dad and I had while photo shooting AND a special Halloween post!Β  We weren’t planning on doing a Halloween post, but this concept photo shoot just kinda happened spontaneously and organically!Β  I’m so excited to share this fun post on Halloween.Β  So, stay tuned…MWAHAHAHA!Β

Style with a Smile!

XoXo,

Lizzy

  1. Yes Lizzy, I’m exceedingly happy. This photoset is too sweet to store away until next summer. The background in them is a shopping center in Brandywine, Maryland. Which goes to show, with just a little imagination, a good camera and a pretty model, one doesn’t need an exotic locale to get lovely pictures. As for the yet-to-be-published pictures we took this past weekend, I don’t want to sound immodest, but in them I think we took it to a whole new level.

    1. Yes, Dad, I knew you’d be happy to see this set on the blog. And since it still feels like summer here, why not? πŸ˜‰ I am thankful you have an eye for photo shoot locations too. We did make it work with your camera skills! And, oh boy! You are setting expectations for that Halloween post really high! I hope we can deliver! Though, it was definitely a whole new level of storytelling! LOL!

  2. Yes surprised to see post so soon , another display of happiness and style !!! Nice background, glad I finally got to meet the professional photographer!!! 1. Haha – I surprised you, Mike! πŸ™‚ I’m so glad you enjoyed this post. You’ll definitely like the next two coming up. Thank my dad, the photographer, for this background. He found this spot most likely while driving my mom around to the different stores. And yes, we had a great time with my parents, didn’t we? That was such a fun day! Great memories. Thank you for your thoughtful comments and hope you’re having a great week, my friend!

    2. It was great meeting Lizzy’s #1 fan too, and thank you for introducing me to deep fried pickles. Next time we’ll let you pick the restaurant. πŸ™‚

    1. Hahaha! I know you’d look so fab in these heels, Jodie! I bet it will take a little longer before the weather cools down in AZ. Take advantage of that for sure! Thank you, Jodie! Hope you have a great rest of your week!

  3. Oh this look is so pretty the shorts and shoes are such a lovely shade of pink. Love the platform bottoms I bet they are comfy. It is warmish here too. Not as warm as it is there but not the crisp cool fall weather more muggish my word for coolish muggy weather lol. It has been like that a lot. Ugh

    1. Thank you, Allie! πŸ™‚ Yeah…this shade of pink makes me smile. That’s a great adjective to describe this weather … muggish! Hope you have a great rest of your week!

    1. Thank you, Kathrine! I know … it’s hard feel the fall vibes when it still feels like summer here! Have a great weekend!

  4. Your pink floral top is so cute and the heels match it so nicely! Such a fun way to dress up such a casual pair of shorts πŸ™‚ And while it might be autumn for you it’s spring for us down here in Australia so this outfit is perfect for our current season! maybe not today though, going to storm later!

Hope you had a good weekend πŸ™‚ We made the most of the nice sunny days after a rainy week, with a local market event and a morning at the park.

    1. Hi Mica! Thank you! I like to dress up casual pieces like shorts for that casual chic feel. Lucky you to be done with winter. πŸ™‚ My cousin lives in Canberra, but I’ve never been to Australia. Sounds like you had a great weekend. I wish you a happy new week! πŸ™‚

  5. I’m with you, I usually skew toward current-season looks, but your dad is right and this outfit was too cute not to share even if we’re not in the summer anymore! You look amazing and I’m loving the pink!
