Lizzy’s Latest – Vince Camuto Fendels Stiletto Boots

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!  We certainly did.  My beautiful niece, Kristin, had the honor of playing the Virgin Mary in her school’s Passion play this year.  It’s not the first time she’s had that honor and we are all so proud of her.  Unfortunately, I have no picture to share.  Due to the pandemic, it was just an in class production (no audience).  I’ve featured stories about Kristin on the blog throughout the years and you can find one of those stories here.

For this photo shoot, we traveled to Richmond.  It was early November and that weekend was an unusual weekend.  There were rallies/protests that popped up at every state capitol across the country.  We were unaware of this until we got to Richmond and saw streets closed off.  We had planned to take shots at the Virginia State Capitol, but had to quickly make other plans because the Capitol was off limits.  Sigh…

So, we drove around downtown Richmond and eventually found a quiet area near a bank.  We parked and got to work.  As I walked and posed, I loved how comfortable these tall boots felt.  The stiletto heels are approximately 4 inches, but they didn’t feel that high.  Perhaps, I’m just used to wearing high heels.  😉

The navy blue hue also caught my eye.  It’s so hard to find navy blue stiletto boots that appeal to me.  So, when I do find a pair I like, I buy them.  I felt so tall and sexy in these boots.  😊 And as you can see, the shaft height of the boots hit me just below the knee.  I was a little concerned the shaft height would be too tall because I am vertically challenged (5’4”), but that was not the case with these boots.

Unfortunately, the boots are no longer widely available.  You can still find them in other colors here, but sizing is very limited.  You can also find them here with more availability.  Or, you can do an internet search for “Vince Camuto Fedels Stiletto Boots” and see what pops up.

I paired the boots with a blue plaid skirt, blue sweater, and nude color pantyhose for an office chic look.  Of course, you can also pair the boots with dresses and shorts with nylons/tights for a variety of looks.  Like many of the other heels featured on the blog, these boots are so versatile.

As we continued to take pictures, we decided we wanted pics of me posing at the building’s revolving door.  We took several shots there without incident.  We left and took other shots elsewhere before coming back to take more shots at the revolving door.  That’s when a less than friendly rent-a-cop type man came out and told us we had to leave the premises because it was “private” bank property.  What?!  He was very annoying, but we obliged and walked across the street to another building.

We liked this building for all the mirrors.  Unfortunately, Dad got less than 4 shots in before another rent-a-cop type guy came out saying we couldn’t take pictures there either.  He was much nicer than the first guy and very apologetic. So, we picked up our stuff and walked away, but as we walked away, we saw the first guy come over to talk to this guy.  It became clear the first guy had monitored us and most likely called over to the other building to instruct the second guy to crash our party.  What an afternoon!  Fortunately, we were about done with this heel/outfit combo.

We’d never experienced this kind of resistance before.  Normally, people are happy to see us and welcome us with open arms.  I guess with all the events happening in Richmond that weekend, everyone was on edge and on alert.

Have a great week, my lovelies!  I do apologize for the tardiness of this post.  Work was unusually busy these last few weeks.  So, I appreciate your constant patience and regular visits to the blog checking in for updates.  Lizzy’s Latest will be back with a new post featuring a new pair of heels in the next week or two!

Style with a Smile!

XoXo,

Lizzy
