Lizzy’s Latest – BCBGeneration Jalila Sandals

I’m slowly acclimating back to blogging after so much time off.  It’s all coming back to me now.  😉 In my previous post, I mentioned I wasn’t sure if I would do a review of these heels because I’d like to move on to fall shoes.  In the end, I decided to write a review post because I had more pics in this shoot to share.  So, why not?

Normally, Dad (my photographer) and I are scrambling to find a location the night before or even the day of a photo shoot.  This time, however, we planned in advance.  Dad gets credit for selecting the Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens.  It was a great idea choosing this location during the pandemic because it gave us unfettered access to this normally crowded spot.

Our only obstacle was gaining admission to the gardens.  We were not aware that we were supposed to reserve tickets online the day before.  Ooopps!!!  Fortunately, the woman at the counter was very sweet and she let us buy the tickets there.  So, Dad did and we entered the lush gardens ready to take pictures.

This heel/outfit combo was the last of my looks for that afternoon of photo shooting.  We chose the area in front of the conservatory because the last time we were there photo shooting, it was wall to wall people.  This time, that beautiful area was virtually empty!

As you can see, the pics have that dreamy feel to them with the vibrant floral opulence embracing us.  It felt like an earthly paradise.  I was delighted to pose behind a backdrop of rich purple and pink flowers because those are two of my favorite colors.  And how nicely all the colors at the garden complemented my blue floral dress and the BCBGeneration Jalila strappy sandals.

These stilettos are my perfect heel height at approximately 3.75 inches.  Combine that with a memory foam footbed and the result is a relatively comfortable pair of heels.  I love the gold micro-stud embellishments on the asymmetrical straps for that subtle pop of bling.

I paired the heels with a blue floral dress for that date night vibe.  I felt so pretty in this look.  It is, to me, so effortlessly chic.  Of course, the heels would look great with a pair of dressy shorts and/or dressed down with jeans for a more casual look.

Unfortunately, these heels are no longer available.  However, an internet search for the “BCBGeneration Jalila sandals” will bring up some second hand options.

Have a great new week, my lovelies!  I can’t believe we’re a little more than 2 weeks from Thanksgiving.  Holy smokes!  Where does the time go?  It seems the older one gets, the faster time flies.  I wish so often I could pause time and just take a breath.  😊 I do take my breaths, but have yet to find the secret to pausing time.  Oh well, such is life…on to the next post, right?!  Next post will be our escape to fall fashion.  Finally, I know!  Take care, turn your clocks back an hour if you haven’t already done so, and enjoy the pics!

Style with a Smile!

XoXo,
