Lizzy’s Latest – 2019 Top 5 Fall Favorites – Shoe Edition

Fall has arrived, but summer still persists.  Yet in time, its dissipating warmth eases the transition to the new season.  I’m excited and enticed as fall captivates with colorful landscapes.  This truly is my favorite time of year!  I love watching the leaves change colors and fall from the trees in an enchanting dance with the wind. I love the aroma of burning wood on chilly nights.  It is the start of boot season, sweater weather, football, great fashion, and more!  I adore it all and, of course, Lizzy’s Latest annual Top 5 Fall Favorites!

  • Animal Print – Especially snake print, is trending big time right now.  It is everywhere and you will notice it too soon enough, if you haven’t already.  This pair by XOXO is on my “Must Have’ list.  As much as I love ankle boots and OTK (Over-the-Knee) boots, my most favorite boot style is the mid-calf boots.  I adore them because they provide more coverage than ankle boots and less bulk than OTK boots.  It was love at first sight with this pair given the slouchy style and the stiletto heels.  That, to me, is boot perfection!  The stilettos are so sexy and chic and the slouchy style is so flirty and fun!  I’m certain you will see me rockin’ these boots on the blog in the coming months!  😊

  • Green – It is one of fall’s most popular colors.  The fashion runaways were filled with pistachio green…but in my world, any green hue goes this season.  😉  Personally, I am a fan of olive green and a richer green like the color of this boot by Jessica Simpson.  I adore the shine and sparkle of this boot too.  It’s so pretty and perfect for the upcoming holiday season.

For a more traditional style, consider this d’Orsey pump by INC.  D’Orsey pumps are so sexy and take a classic pump up a fashion notch.  The animal print makes it chic and fresh, at least to me.

  • OVER THE KNEE BOOTS – I hope this trend never goes away!  In the beginning, I never thought I could wear OTK boots because I’m vertically challenged with short legs.  Sigh…then, a couple years ago, I found inspiration from so many petite bloggers who were slayin’ the OTK boots style and looking so fabulously chic.  In that moment, I broke out of my mental prison and began my search for a pair of OTK boots.  I found a burgundy pair two years ago that I’ve featured on the blog twice, here and here.  Aren’t they FABULOUS?  I found another pair, in black, that I will feature on the blog in the coming months.  My advice, if you’re petite and on the fence about OTK boots, take the plunge!  I promise, you won’t regret it!  And once you find that perfect pair, you will be hooked for life. What I love about this pair by Jessica Simpson is the slouchy style and stiletto heels.  They are very similar to the pair I have.

  • Block heels – Although, I’m a stiletto addict, I can appreciate the beauty and comfort of a block heel.  I own this one from Bebe.  I love the grey shade because of its versatility to match so many styles.  And being mid-calf, they will keep you warm in the cooler months without adding too much bulk.  They are sold out almost everywhere, but seem to still be available on Amazon.

Pumps –   A good pair of pumps will give you great style and sexy legs.  I love this pair because the animal print brings a modern twist to this d’orsey pump.  And pink animal print makes this heel femininely fierce, don’t you think?  😉  I own this pair by Naturalizer and can’t wait to feature them on the blog.  😊

If you’re looking for something more traditional, you can’t go wrong with a patent leather navy blue classic pump.  I am coveting this pair by Kenneth Cole.  They are a bit pricey, but oh so pretty!  For now, my rational side is keeping me disciplined…but for how long?!  😉

Bonus – Western style boots – yes, they are still trending and I think this pair by Kenneth Cole is the cat’s meow!  Flashy, outrageous, and outta my price range!  😉  However, I still wanted to share them with y’all just in case one of you decides these are worth a spontaneous splurge.

Instead, I bought these from Charles by Charles David.  They are not as flashy, but still cute in a more simple and classic way.  Of course, I adore the slouchiness of these boots and the western vibes.  They may not have the fringe element, but the cost point on these is more bearable.  😉  The winter white color is perfect for the cooler months too.

I hope you found some inspiration and ideas here to make this season your most fashionable one yet!

Have a great week and do let me know, what are your fall favorites?

Style with a smile!

XoXo,

Lizzy
