Hollywood Cemetery – Tassels in the Park
Lizzy’s Latest is one week old! My first week as a shoe blogger was eventful. I spent many evenings working on my Facebook page and reaching out to the Instagram community. I am new to Instagram and when I posted my first picture announcing my blog, I didn’t get much of a response. At first, I thought that was normal. Then, I realized a day or two later, I should have used hashtags! Lesson learned!
In my first week, I was pleasantly surprised to hear from two people. The first, Julie, was the woman I spoke to at Hollywood Cemetery. She was the one who asked if my dad and I wanted our picture together and that’s when I told her I was taking pictures for a shoe blog. Well, she found Lizzy’s Latest on Facebook and posted a comment on my page. It made me happy to know she remembered me and even took the time to seek me out on social media.
The second person is my style icon! Before I started this blog, I researched other shoe bloggers, but this particular shoe blogger, The Shoe Maven, is my fashion twin. She has a covetable inventory of shoes and her passion to share this love of shoes is so natural.
Well, The Shoe Maven “liked” one of my pictures and I was surprised and ecstatic all at the same time. My style icon noticed me! I sent her an email thanking her for liking my picture and her response was genuine. She even gave me advice. It felt like she was looking out for me and that is such a nice feeling considering I don’t know what I got myself into. I only know that I love what I am doing and like The Shoe Maven, I feel compelled to share my love of shoes with you.
How’s that for a first week?!
Lizzy’s Latest for this week is Enzo Angiolini’s Leluna Sandals. I will give my review of these sandals in the next day or two. For now, enjoy the pictures! Skirt is from Banana Republic Outlet and top is from J.C. Penney.

You’re ahead of your time Lizzy. You were at Hollywood Cemetery two years before it was cited as one of the 25 best places to take pictures in Richmond. Well done!

That’s awesome, Dad! Hollywood Cemetery was our first location for Lizzy’s Latest! We had 3 photo shoots there that day if you recall. 🙂
