Lizzy’s Latest: Thread Tank Collaboration – Stories You Can Wear

Back in February, a representative from Thread Tank reached out to me for a collaboration.  I had never heard of this company, so I looked them up.  I discovered that they are an apparel company that creates graphic tops for women, men, and toddlers.  Their tops display words and phrases that fit your mood and speak your story.  As their motto implies, their tops are “stories you can wear.” (more…)

Lizzy’s Latest – Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!  St. Patrick, patron saint of Ireland, had an interesting life.  He was kidnapped into slavery by Irish pirates when he was just 16-years old.  While enslaved, St. Patrick worked as a shepherd and learned the Irish language.  During this time, he found comfort in prayer and developed a relationship with God.  One night in a dream, God instructed St. Patrick to find his way to the coast.  There he would find a boat that would free him from his captors.  Obeying God’s advice, St. Patrick indeed found a ship that sailed him home.  (more…)

Lizzy’s Latest – Caroline’s Confirmation

Family is one of God’s greatest gifts in life.  When my cousin, Caroline, received the Sacrament of Confirmation last month, I had the honor of being her sponsor.  In the Roman Catholic tradition, Confirmation is the moment we receive the Holy Spirit and acknowledge our commitment to the Catholic faith.  (more…)

Lizzy’s Latest – 2019 Top 5 Fall Favorites – Shoe Edition

Fall has arrived, but summer still persists.  Yet in time, its dissipating warmth eases the transition to the new season.  I’m excited and enticed as fall captivates with colorful landscapes.  This truly is my favorite time of year!  I love watching the leaves change colors and fall from the trees in an enchanting dance with the wind. I love the aroma of burning wood on chilly nights.  It is the start of boot season, sweater weather, football, great fashion, and more!  I adore it all and, of course, Lizzy’s Latest annual Top 5 Fall Favorites!  (more…)

Lizzy’s Latest – Grace Karin Collaboration Conclusion

It’s been a long while…I know!  I apologize for my absence from the blog last month.  May was unusually busy for me.  I was in South Carolina the beginning of the month for my niece, Kristin’s, First Holy Communion.  I had a one week reprieve before heading up to New York City for my sister, Jeanette’s, graduate school graduation from Columbia University.  My little sister is an Ivy Leaguer.  🙂  I had another short reprieve before I was on the road again for a few days of rest and relaxation in Virginia Beach.  And before I knew it, May was gone. Lizzy’s Latest – Collaboration: Grace Karin

A few months ago, a representative from Grace Karin contacted me about a fashion collaboration.  Intrigued, I did a quick search on the company and was pleasantly surprised to see beautiful dresses on their site.  What was even more surprising was how inexpensive the dresses were.  This, of course, made me question the quality of the dresses.  However, my curiosity won over and I agreed to the fashion collaboration.  (more…)

Lizzy’s Latest: Guess Bizzy Strappy Pumps

There are plenty of options for black patent pumps, but finding the one takes a lot of patience and sometimes a dose of serendipity.  One day, as I perused shoes on the internet, these caught my eye.  The wraparound ankle straps look so stylish with sexy stiletto heels.  In black patent, this swank shoe quickly became a “gotta have it” pair for me. La Plata, MD: Mardi Gras Highlights – New Orleans, LA (Warning – Adult Content)

Almost every year around Christmastime, my childhood friend, Lee, brings up Mardi Gras.  And every time he brings it up, I hesitate because I loathe crowds and rarely drink.  I would always tell him, “Maybe next year.”  To which he would respond, “Liz, you need to get out more.”   (more…)
