Every Christmas, I look forward to spending time with my Godsons, Andrew and Joshua, and my niece, Kristin. Usually, I get the two older kids, Andrew and Kristin, for a couple of days and we go on an adventure. Last year we went to ICE and this year, we went ice skating. I was so excited to share this experience with them because I loved ice skating as a kid. My Forever BFF, Tammy, and I would spend many Friday nights at the ice skating rink at La Jolla’s University Town Center (UTC) flirting with the cute guys as we skated to our favorite songs. (more…)
Every Christmas I volunteer at the former Museum of the Confederacy (now the American Civil War Museum) for Court End Christmas. I’ve had the honor of being Santa’s Elf every year and it’s always great catching up with my favorite Santa – the real Santa! 😉

This Christmas was especially meaningful to me. I was enjoying the company of family and creating precious memories, but also grieving my dear friend and Manager, Anna, who was tragically killed in a tour bus crash in Mexico days before Christmas along with her 11-year old son, Daniel, and her recently widowed mother. Anna’s husband, Moises, and 15-year old son, David, survived, thankfully. (more…)

We finished taking pictures early for that fabulous collaboration and decided to take advantage of the beautiful Fall weather by fitting in another heel/outfit combo. I chose the BCBGeneration Elle booties because they are so perfect for Fall! The burgundy hue is on trend and the peep toes make it a great transition bootie for cooler weather. (more…)
I always get nervous when I have to drive to unfamiliar places. Fortunately, it’s not as intimidating anymore with a GPS navigator and apps like Waze to direct me. I used both to guide me to my Aunt Lisa, Uncle Shawn, and cousin, Caroline’s house back in July. (more…)
Now that my shoe blog is monthly, the time in between posts sometimes feels like too long of an absence from all of you, at least to me. As such, I’ve launched a new segment on my blog called, “Shoespiration.” 🙂 Its intent is to fill the fashion void that lingers between my main blog posts. When we shot this photo shoot a few weekends ago, it was meant for a mini blog post. My intent was to have a new segment on the blog that would feature fashion inspiration in between full blog posts. It would be my way to stay connected with all of you in the interim because publishing monthly sometimes feels like too long of an absence, at least to me. However, we took so many great shots that I decided to bump the heel/outfit combo I initially had for February and go with this heel/outfit combo instead. At dinner with my parents a month ago, Mom asked if I could print a Kohls coupon for her. I assured her I would, and thought nothing more of it. As we continued talking, Mom started nudging Dad and giggling. I could tell Dad did not want to acknowledge what was unspoken between them. The weekend we took these pictures, we had no particular destination in mind. Surrendering to wanderlust, we headed to Richmond, our default destination for adventure. Eventually, we settled on the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden named after one of Richmond’s beloved citizens. (more…)
