Lizzy’s Latest – Happy New Year’s Eve!

Happy New Year’s Eve!  I hope you all have been enjoying the holidays.  My family and I had a wonderful Christmas.  The only regret was my brother and his family not being able to stay longer.

This year, my Godson, Andrew, was competing in the ESPN Disney Showcase Soccer Tournament at Disneyworld and he had to be there the day after Christmas!  So, Christmas was on a tight schedule this year.  In a matter of 4 hours we opened presents, ate our turkey feast, and indulged in Dad’s famous chocolate pudding pie (mont blanc, anyone?) for desert (an annual family tradition).  We even had time for a little chit-chat and family pictures.  And just like that, my brother and his family departed back to SC to unload their trunk full of presents and reload for FL the very next day.

This was a recent Instagram post.  If you’re on Instagram, please consider following me there too.  I post more pics on there than on FB and even on this blog.  In this shot, I am posing with my Godsons, Andrew and little Josh, and my niece, Kristin.

Posing with my siblings: brother, Michael, and sister, Jeanette. It is rare for the 3 of us to be together anymore. So, I always take pics when I get the chance.

Girls shot with my sis, Jeanette, sister-in-law, Shannon, and niece, Kristin. I realized after seeing this shot that we are missing my mom! Pics were rushed this year…

Let’s hear it for the boys: Dad joined in on the fun.

With 2019 on the horizon, I want to take this opportunity to say thank you to my family, friends, and followers.  It is your support and encouragement that inspire me to continue on this blog journey.  I am so grateful for each and every one of you.

It brings me great joy to share my love of heels and history with all of you.  I also use this blog as a journal to record some of my personal adventures.  It is my way of allowing you, who may not know me personally, to get to know my personality a little more.

From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!!!

I wish you all health, happiness, love, prosperity, and all of God’s blessings in 2019!  And if you’re up to it, read my post from a few years ago for some new year’s motivation here.  🙂

The final blog pics for 2018 was the second photo shoot we took at the Annmarie Sculpture Garden that afternoon.  Temps were in the 60s, a rarity in late November.  We took full advantage of the warm afternoon by staying in one place.

I am wearing sparkly boots…perfect for NYE festivities.  These particular boots are Jessica Simpson Layzer Slouchy Rhinestone Boots.  They are comfortable for 4-inch heels, but would be more comfortable with a cushiony footbed.  Wearing these boots would require a strategic balance between sitting and standing.  😉

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
