Lizzy’s Latest – Summer Vibes
I hope y’all are enjoying this summer. I apologize for my absence … again! It’s been an adventurous summer filled with work, photo shoots, and travel. I have so much content waiting for me to prepare and share. I just need to find some time to work on them and I will find the time. Though, I have a feeling these summer posts may linger into fall. 😉
I was recently in South Carolina babysitting my brother’s three kids: Andrew, Kristin, and Josh. We had a great week that concluded with an 80’s party. Andrew dressed up as Joel (Tom Cruise) in Risky Business and even did the underpants dance. Kristin dressed up like Madonna and performed “Holiday.” Josh dressed up as Andrew, the jock (Emilio Estevez) in The Breakfast Club and did Andrew’s dance in that movie. I dressed up too…perhaps, in the coming months I will get around to sharing those pics because we had a lot of fun.
Before I left, Kristin wanted to share her summer fashion on the blog. In these shots, she is wearing a printed top with matching shorts. She accessorized the look with a cute headband and stylish bracelets. Kristin completed the look with a pair of heels from Rachel Roy and her sweet smile. Here’s Kristin’s version of “style with a smile.” Isn’t she the cutest up and coming fashionista?!
After my stay in South Carolina, I headed to Savannah, GA for some time off. My parents met me there and we had a fabulous time. One of the highlights of my Savannah adventure was a day trip to Stone Mountain, GA to check out the Confederate Memorial Carving depicting Confederate President Jefferson Davis, and Generals Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson. It is the largest high relief sculpture in the world and it was amazing to view! Here’s a sneak peek:
If you’re familiar with my blog, you know how much I love Civil War history (both sides!) and I was so happy to finally see this relief in person. I will be publishing a post about my trip to Stone Mountain in the coming months.
In the meantime, I am sharing summer vibes with this look. There’s something about yellow in the summertime that feels so refreshing. The wedges are Michael Kors and they were featured on the blog back in 2015. You can find that post here.
Have a wonderful and safe weekend. Thank you for being so patient with me. I truly appreciate all of you!
Style with a Smile!

Thank you, Margot! Yes, Kristin is adorable. 🙂 Wow … I do hope you do get to GA one day. Savannah is one of my favorite cities in the US. So much history, lovely town squares, and beautiful cemeteries like Bonaventure.
