Lizzy’s Latest – Steve Madden Sassey Two Piece Fringe Sandals

I am a girly-girl at heart.  So, I could not help, but fall in love with these fringe lace ups by Steve Madden.  They are the epitome of sexy!  The flirty fringe at the toe strap is so playful that I found myself stretching my legs in a dramatic walk to catch a glimpse of the ever so subtle swoosh of the fringe.  😉  What adds glamour to this sandal is the approximately 4.25 inch heel (pretty high even for me) and the ankle strap lace ups.  I love the tassel detail at the end of the lace ups too.  It adds such a nice touch to this gorgeous heel. 

Unfortunately, and I’m so sad to report this, these sandals are not comfortable.  🙁  The toe strap is too narrow squishing all my toes tightly together.  It was even difficult getting my toes to fit inside the toe strap.  There were several times during the photo shoot when I had to sit and take a break and/or bust out the flip-flops as we walked to a new location.  Very regrettable given the beauty of these sandals and the fact that most Steve Madden shoes are decently comfortable.

I went online to check out other reviews and a narrow toe strap is a common theme.  Some reviewers suggested going up half a size, but even that had mixed results.  They are still available at Macy’s if you want to give them a try yourself, but proceed with caution.  The heel is very high and the narrow toe strap will result in blisters if you manage to wear them too long.  I found a similar pair here if you are interested in red fringe lace ups. 

I have not returned my pair.  I just love them too much though I have yet to wear them again.  I plan to look for DIY ideas on how to stretch a shoe.  Hopefully, that will do the trick!  🙂  These heels are so hot because they have a way of elongating the legs!  They would look great with rompers (like in this shoot), skirts, dresses, jeans, and shorts.  Simply put, these sandals would compliment almost any outfit when the goal is to amp up the glam.  🙂  BUT…maybe try another heel instead of this one.  Just sayin’!
