This week, Lizzy’s Latest is going on hiatus because I am heading out to the West Coast for an elementary school reunion. I haven’t been back to San Diego in about four years so I’m looking forward to seeing all my childhood friends again. I am so excited and my mind is already in vacation mode! I’m becoming quite nostalgic too…
All those “remember when” moments are on constant re-play in my mind right now. I was asking my Forever BFF, Tammy (whom I wrote about in a June post), about the weather yesterday because I have yet to pack! She told me it is hot. I wonder, though, if San Diego hot will actually feel cool to me since DC hot is about 100 degrees and humid. So, Tammy reminded me as children, I would wear shorts even in “cold” weather. OK…I will bring a sweater instead of a jacket.
She had me in stitches last night because I had asked her if she wanted to get a pedicure. She said sure, but added that she would have to paint her toes before the pedicure so that her toes would look nice when we got our pedicure. LOL…that’s like my sister-in-law when she tells me she cleans the house before the cleaning woman comes. Go figure!
Anyway, in lieu of featuring heels this week, I will be posting pics of my SoCal adventure on Instagram. You will even get a sneak peek of the heels I will feature next week.
