It was on this day 248 years ago that 13 courageous colonies declared their independence from Great Britain (July 4, 1776). Happy Fourth of July! Today we celebrate America’s birthday. It was 242 years ago today that the original 13 colonies adopted the Declaration of Independence. Today, it is a day for family and friends to come together and celebrate our nation’s birthday with barbecues, parades, concerts, fireworks, and the like. My family and I will certainly be participating in the festivities. 🙂 (more…)
