Ever since I commenced this blog in 2015, I feel like I am constantly chasing time. Last month, my intent was to post a main blog post with part 2 of my New Orleans adventure with my Forever BFF, Tammy, but as always, time was fleeting. Now, it’s October and I have “Ghostober” posts perfect for the month of Halloween. These posts can’t be delayed and as such, my main blog post shall linger into November. It is that time of year again when summer’s farewell lingers like the final notes of a beautifully composed piece of music. The ambience is sublime and filled with mirthful memories of time well spent. Holding on for one more hurrah and always one more until there is no more. Parting is such sweet sorrow tempered by fall’s inevitable tomorrow. Enticed, fall captivates with colorful landscapes and dancing leaves that fall from above. The aroma of burning wood on crisp evenings signals the start of sweater weather, boots, and everything else we love about this new season. August was full of adventure for me! I was in Savannah, GA earlier in the month and had a wonderful time. I will detail that trip in a future blog post. I also spent time with my two Godsons and niece in SC mid-August. We had an 80s themed party which I will also share in a future blog post. By the end of August, we were back to photo shooting for the blog. I cannot wait to feature that post because it deals with the legend of Moll Dyer, a local woman who lived a century or so ago and was rumored to be a witch. Perfect post for October! 😉 (more…)
There’s a back story to these beautiful heels. I had been eyeing them on the Boston Proper website for almost a year, but hesitated to purchase them because I’d never purchased Pelle Moda shoes. When my Forever BFF, Tammy, and I were discussing possible destinations for our girls trip last year, she suggested New Orleans, LA. Happy Fourth of July! Today we celebrate America’s birthday. It was 242 years ago today that the original 13 colonies adopted the Declaration of Independence. Today, it is a day for family and friends to come together and celebrate our nation’s birthday with barbecues, parades, concerts, fireworks, and the like. After Easter, I went a little overboard with shoe shopping. I bought around 10 pairs of shoes in one sitting! These sky-high heels were in that bunch. I’ve never featured Jessica Simpson heels on the blog because a lot of her heels are too high for me and not necessarily the most comfortable. However, I took a chance on this pair because I love red stiletto heels and I wanted to pair them with this beautiful floral romper. (more…)
Hersheypark amusement park in Hershey, PA is such a happy place. I was so excited to return last July with my Godson, Andrew. Earlier in the summer, I had taken his sister, Kristin, to the park and we had a wonderful time. This time around, I looked forward to riding more roller coasters because Andrew is taller than Kristin. 🙂

When The Vampire Diaries (TVD) Convention came to Washington, DC in 2016, my good friend, Martina, suggested we attend this event so we could finally meet in person. We had been virtual friends since 2008 when our favorite boyband, The New Kids on the Block, reunited. We were also big fans of the show and Martina, at that time, frequented many TVD conventions.
