I initially went with red heels to match the denim dress I wore in this photo shoot.  Coordinating red heels with blue attire is a common tendency of mine.  I like having that pop of red.  🙂  Then, I opened my first delivery of Spring/Summer shoes a few weekends ago and set my eyes on the Marc Fisher Braelin sandals.  The pink is even prettier in person!  I could imagine wearing these sandals on a date.  🙂  They are so feminine.  The braided details are eye-catching and add a nice texture to this shoe.

George Washington Birthplace National Monument – Three Strikes You’re Out

The weather was spectacular this weekend.  It was the perfect weekend for taking blog pictures and indulging in a history adventure with my dad.  We decided to check out the George Washington Birthplace National Monument.  Perched on the banks of the Potomac River and Pope’s Creek, the locale was perfect for a photo shoot. The first time I visited Charleston, SC was years before I became interested in the Civil War.  At that time, Fort Sumter was simply an anomalous structure hovering on the horizon of Charleston Harbor.  I remember wondering what it was and then quickly dismissing the thought because I had the beauty of historic Charleston at my feet.  Perish the thought in hindsight!     (more…)

These chic heels have been part of my shoe collection for many years now.  I am so delighted to finally feature them on my blog and share them with you.  I love the white strap detailing on the shoe.  It truly adds a level of elegance to the stiletto heel, in my opinion.  It is a very unique looking pump. I never realized typing and texting could be hazardous to my health!  For years, I have typed head and shoulders hunched forward in front of a computer.  Then, when texting replaced talking, my posture further deteriorated becoming reminiscent of our more primitive ancestors.  Of course, posture was rarely on my mind because I never had any serious issues that caused me concern.
