Lizzy’s Latest – Steve Madden Stecy Two Piece Sandals
I have to admit, I’ve lived in Southern Maryland for many years now and this was my first time in Solomons Island. It is a quaint town on the Patuxent River/Chesapeake Bay. Very picturesque. It is a perfect destination for a weekend getaway and/or a photo shoot. 🙂
What struck me heading to Solomons Island was the Governor Thomas Johnson Bridge we had to cross. As Dad pointed out, it does have a slight resemblance to the Coronado Bridge in San Diego, CA reminding me of my childhood. 🙂
We parked at the Riverwalk and I jumped out of the car in my new heels. I was excited to wear them because of the pretty neon coral color. The sandals appear to glow in some shots making me love them more! Given the stiletto is approximately 3.75 inches, they were decently comfortable in the beginning.
However, after an hour or so, my feet began to feel some discomfort. In my opinion, the sandal needs a better footbed. By mid-shoot, I was changing into flip flops as we walked to different locations. The sandals work if you’re not on your feet for too long. However, if you’re not used to stiletto heels this high, I would not recommend them. If you’re a pro at wearing high heels, you can definitely make these work. 🙂
The coral color is sexy and I adore the delicate strap around the ankle. It has a leather lining. It is a simple pair of heels that packs a punch with the pop of color. It’s still available, but sizing is limited. If you’d prefer more traditional colors, they are still available here. A quick internet search for “Steve Madden Stecy Two-Piece Sandals” will bring up other options as well.
These heels were meant to be seen! So pair them with a curve-hugging dress or skirt. They can be worn with shorts too if you’re looking to amp up the glamour like I did in this shoot. The sandals would also look great with jeans as we transition into Fall. These heels are quite versatile so if you do decide to give them a try, you’ll have lots of options. 🙂
Style with a smile!

Whatever these sandals lacked in comfort was made up by eye appeal. Though it isn’t apparent in the photos, these pictures were taken in crowded places and these shoes were very noticed.
Nice to see the Kalomar Nyckel got into one of the shots.

Thank you, Dad! 🙂 I didn’t realize people were noticing my heels. I’m glad you added the name of that ship. I could not remember off the top of my head.
