It was on this day 248 years ago that 13 courageous colonies declared their independence from Great Britain (July 4, 1776). So, I have to give credit to my dad for suggesting a carnival photo shoot for the 4th of July. When we were throwing out ideas, I thought it would be cool to take a drive to Williamsburg, VA and check out the President Heads. When I showed Dad some pics, he scoffed and reminded me my stilettos would get dirty in the mud. OK … maybe, not my best idea, but I was also a little hesitant about the carnival thinking it would be too crowded. Last weekend, we were blessed with magnificent weather. Low humidity and temps in the upper 70s. Of course, we took advantage of this with multiple photo shoots. We spent Saturday in Richmond and stayed local on Sunday. I will detail the Richmond shoots when I feature those heels. (more…)
