Lizzy’s Latest – Carlos Santana Larisa Booties

Back in the Fall, I was dazzled by the assortment of boots and booties in the market.  I wanted to buy every shoe that caught my eye. Over the years, I have learned to control my sometimes impetuous shopping personality.  So each season, I make a list of all the shoes I “have to have” and then give myself a few days or more, if I’m anticipating a sale, to think about my shopping list.  Occasionally, I realize I have similar shoes or the “what was I thinking” moment hits me before buying the shoes.  Of course, I’m not always consistent with this discipline.  When it comes to my heel addiction, theory is always better than practice.  😉 

In the case of these lovely Carlos Santana booties, it was love at first sight.  There was no question in my mind that I would buy these.  The cutout design is so on trend and gives this classic boot texture and oomph!  🙂  I could see myself confidently walking the catwalk of life in these beauties.  I also love the cognac color.  It is a nice shift from the usual black and dark brown, in my opinion.  This color is so rich and looks very sexy with a cream colored skirt as I am wearing in this photo shoot.

The boot is approximately 3.5 inches with a decent footbed.  With a heel this low, you can walk for hours in comfort.  It is pointed toe with a side zip closure and faux leather upper.  The gorgeous cutout design is really what makes the boot stylish and sexy.

I highly recommend the cutout design if you’re looking for a chic bootie to kick your style up a notch.  The boots look great with mini skirts and would also look fabulous with skinny jeans.  They are also a great transition piece from Winter to Spring.  Wear them with a pair of shorts and a nice cardigan on warmer days.  This is indeed a versatile boot, so have fun with it.  🙂
