Lizzy’s Latest – Pelle Moda Floral Strappy Sandals

There’s a back story to these beautiful heels.  I had been eyeing them on the Boston Proper website for almost a year, but hesitated to purchase them because I’d never purchased Pelle Moda shoes.  I didn’t know how they would feel on my feet and I didn’t want the hassle of returning them by mail.

So, I told myself I could consider buying them when the price dropped.  At the time, the heels were probably around $150 or so.  The price eventually did drop, but I still waited.  I simply was not familiar with this brand. 

Yet, the more I looked at this heel, the more I REALLY wanted it.  This heel is a perfect reflection of my personality:  feminine and happy.  🙂  The flowers are so vibrant in the orange, purple, yellow, and pink…such a fun mix of colors!  How can you not smile when you look at this heel?!  I also love the sexy green snakeskin straps.  They are thin, just the way I like them, and compliment the floral arrangement by staying in the background and letting the flowers be the center of attention. 

To buy or not to buy was on my mind for quite some time.  Eventually, I decided I would not buy the heels because summer was ending and I have enough unworn shoes in my closet waiting to be featured on the blog!  That was the end of it…so I thought at the time.

The holidays came and I saw a poncho I liked in the Boston Proper catalog.  I went online to get a better view.  Being a heel addict, I also had to check out the shoe section.  😉  To my surprise, these floral heels were on clearance!  They were selling for maybe $40; what a steal!  I decided I had to have them, but would my size 6 be available?  I held my breath and clicked on the heel.  Size 6!  ONLY a size 6 was available!  The adrenaline hit me as I wondered who else was trying to buy these heels at this moment!  I’m sure I was only in competition with myself, but just to be safe, I went straight to the checkout and made the purchase.  I checked back afterwards and the heels were now sold out.  I got the last pair! 

When they arrived I was so happy with my decision to buy them.  They are absolutely beautiful in person.  The approximately 4-inch heel did not feel like 4 inches.  I truly enjoyed walking in them and as such, plan to peruse Pelle Moda heels in the future.  🙂

Pairing the heels with a flowy green dress made me feel like a princess.  To match the mood of this elegant ensemble, we had the photo shoot on these aesthetically pleasing stairs next to the Italian Garden at Maymont Mansion in Richmond, VA.  It was the perfect setting for this heel/outfit combo.         

Unfortunately, these heels are no longer available, but here’s a pair that are girly and fresh.  You could also put in a search for “Floral Applique Sandals” to see other options.

Floral heels are so pretty and should be part of every shoe lover’s collection.  They would look great with dresses and skirts.  You could also wear them with shorts and cropped jeans for a more casual look.  Whatever the case, these heels are a must have if you can find them.
