There are plenty of options for black patent pumps, but finding the one takes a lot of patience and sometimes a dose of serendipity. One day, as I perused shoes on the internet, these caught my eye. The wraparound ankle straps look so stylish with sexy stiletto heels. In black patent, this swank shoe quickly became a “gotta have it” pair for me. (more…)
Lately, it seems every weekend I plan to take pictures, the weather turns cold. The weekend of this photo shoot was no exception. The temperature stayed in the 30s and the wind was gusty for the majority of the shoot. We continued on our Alexandria, VA adventure with these set of pictures. After taking more shots around my dad’s office, we braved the brisk wind in search of new scenery. Christmas decorations were still on display around the federal courthouse keeping the atmosphere quite festive. Interesting to note, that courthouse was the location where 9/11 terrorist, Zacarias Moussaoui, was tried and convicted. Across from the courthouse is the Carlyle Club, a pretty famous establishment in the Washington, DC area. 🙂 (more…)
Not too long ago, I had a heart to heart with my co-worker and good friend, Walter. After commenting about how exhausted he looked, he revealed that his family was dealing with an unexpected crisis. I could see the worry on his face. I could sense the fear of uncertainty in his voice as he confessed that his younger brother, Anthony, 22, has been fighting an aggressive form of skin cancer since last August. The cancer came back a few weeks ago with a vengeance putting Anthony’s young life in serious jeopardy. (more…)

After the Bar Mitvah I wrote about last week, my dad and I spent the rest of the afternoon taking blog pictures. To take full advantage of time and weather, we take pictures for 3-4 weeks worth of blog entries. It makes for a long afternoon, but it is well worth the effort to avoid having to take pictures every weekend. (more…)
