Lizzy’s Latest – Steve Madden Flapper Fringe Booties
2016 started off with a bang! Rather than sleeping in on the first day of the new year, we got up early for this photo shoot. To preserve as much daylight as possible, we didn’t venture too far out of the neighborhood. Instead we drove to my dad’s office in Alexandria, VA. Founded in 1749, the city has been a prominent witness of history since its founding. I highly recommend a walking tour of Alexandria if you’re ever in the area.
These set of pictures were taken around my dad’s office building. The day was cold too! It would have been bearable except for the sharp breeze that was persistent in reminding us of its presence. Despite, I was captivated by the colorful yellow umbrellas captured in the background of the majority of these pictures. It was a nice pop of color in an otherwise neutral setting.
There was a lot of going up and down stairs, jumping, and running. Even with all that activity, the heels, at a height of approximately 4.25 inches, remained comfortable. If you’ve been reading my blog, you might recall any heel above 4 inches is pushing it for me. Yet, I was able to run around in these for several hours without much discomfort. I will say, though, I don’t know if I could last a full day in these heels. I haven’t tried it yet.
The bootie has a suede upper and a convenient zip closure in the back. In addition, the sexy fringe envelopes the entire boot. The fringe, of course, is what caught my eye. 🙂 It’s so chic and the medium grey color adds a touch of elegance to the bootie. In addition, the fringe is light and airy swooshing with every step. Very stylish indeed!
Macy’s has this bootie in black and cobalt at the time of this writing. Unfortunately, the grey color is sold out. However, a quick internet search for “Steve Madden Flapper Fringe Booties” will bring up more results including sites that still sell this grey color.
I highly recommend these flirtatious booties! They are absolutely gorgeous and sexy in a simple yet dramatic way, if that makes any sense. I paired them with a mini skirt because I wanted the focus to be on the swooshing fringe of this seductive boot. However, if you’re not comfortable wearing a skirt with this boot, I think they would also look great with a pair of black leather skinnies. A little more understated, but still quite alluring. 🙂
Style with a smile!
