Fall has arrived, but summer still persists. Yet in time, its dissipating warmth eases the transition to the new season. I’m excited and enticed as fall captivates with colorful landscapes. This truly is my favorite time of year! I love watching the leaves change colors and fall from the trees in an enchanting dance with the wind. I love the aroma of burning wood on chilly nights. I hope y’all had a wonderful weekend. My weekend was full of adventure. If you read my Gettysburg post, I called out my best guy friend, William. He is a history enthusiast and an expert on Southern Maryland history, particularly John Wilkes Booth’s escape after assassinating President Abraham Lincoln. Booth found his way to Southern Maryland seeking help from Dr. Samuel A. Mudd to treat his broken leg. (more…)

The arrival of Fall, my favorite time of year, softens the blow of Summer’s adieu. For me, routine replaces spontaneity and the countdown to Christmas begins! 🙂 Fall foliage captivates as I enjoy nature’s wandering work of art dancing all around me in vivid hues of yellow, orange, and red. Fall’s ephemeral beauty decorates the landscape in a kaleidoscope of leaves while the aroma of firewood fills the crisp evening air, awakening the senses. (more…)
